  1. I rather enjoyed Our Girl. But to die on West Ham pitch is the pits.
  2. I'll see your two and raise you a little bit of my youth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHb60K2RLx0
  3. Just for you Seabag http://www.nisbets.co.uk/2/Clothing,-Aprons-and-Footwear-Chefs-Clothing/c04c02.r10.1
  4. Sorry, I'd never heard of them so it meant nothing to me. Have just googled them. My life will be enriched.
  5. Norfolk Jacket. A small chain of hunting shops.
  6. Had a lovely Roast Sunday yesterday: friends round for beef, braised red cabbage, roasted pots and carrots, peas, and the most delicious gravy (thanks Jamie O.) Only downside was I'd cheated on the Yorkshire puds and forgot they were in the fridge. Then went to other friends for supper which was roast chicken, blow-your-socks-off chilli stuffing and all the usual trimmings. Absolutely stuffed but a wonderful day of good food and friends and family, and not a little wine.
  7. I'm guessing that "last bloke" is what you meant to type - though your version is funnier.
  8. Isn't perception weird? I heard him on R4 and thought he was a slimy git. However, I'd be more inclined to believe Allan Lamb who was also quoted.
  9. I've seen her on The Lane (Saarf London coolspeak). She is very pretty and petite in real life, no comparison to the drag queens I've seen. A deoch and doris is far more interesting.
  10. At the risk of siding with the tin foil brigade, I too suffer from plane noise - especially v. early am. But then I see cyclists riding on the pavement everyday which noone else seems to.
  11. Word on ED Deli is it is to become a Cook shop, but since they have one nearby in West Dulwich, I think there's mischief in my aviary.
  12. I DEFO had a coffee and pain au raisin there yesterday. V. nice and lovely staff.
  13. Just wrap parma ham round them and eat with lots of chianti.
  14. Auld Ayr wham ne'er a town surpasses for honest men and bonny lasses!
  15. That's Dundee off my Xmas Card list.
  16. Inverclyde result is so close. This is getting exciting.
  17. 2/32 declared. Just when the Scots are finally getting the hang of cricket... The Noes have it so far.
  18. I don't give a hoot. I have the family recipes for Mince and Tatties, Stovies and Tablet. Rangers are fucked - what else matters?
  19. James, not sure if this is in your remit but have the street cleaners/robot operators gone on strike? Lordship Lane hasn't been cleaned for a week now. Once upon a time, not so long ago, it was very ably serviced every day by the lovely Jenny or delightful Wesley, now nada. Not even the mechanical contraption has been around. To my knowledge business rates and domestic council tax haven't been reduced, so why has the standard of service?
  20. How to remove U2 (just from phones, unfortunately) http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/29157217
  21. Burgess Park lake, but it's quite a steep bank - you have to hoik the dog out afterwards. Had a great experience there with a Labrador who naturally jumped in, followed by a competitive but water-phobic Doberman!
  22. If you haven't made it to "Frank's Campari Bar" yet, you can see the magnificent views from the top of the car park on the tv programme "So you think you can drive" at 53 minutes in.
  23. Considering the numbers, it was pretty good although extra staff would have helped, especially the poor woman running the hot dog stall on her own. Second half was exciting, family atmosphere fantastic and free sarnies at the end were delicious and a bonus.
  24. No, she went of her own accord. Boom, tish!
