  1. Somerfield in Lordship Lane, ED; Morrisons in Peckham; and since you have a car, there is Tesco & Asda on the Old Kent Rd which is only a 10/15 min drive away. There is a Tesco Express on East Dulwich road (parallel to Barry Rd) There is an M&S in Walworth Rd but parking's a bit hit & miss so hop on the number 12 (about 25 min ride). If you want Waitrose, get it delivered! Always found the area in Peckham and surrounding satellites safe. Welcome.
  2. Got me leavvers and bike chain - where's the rumble?
  3. Lemon juice dissolves limescale.
  4. Probably The Castle, but I'm too scared to go in and check.
  5. 1. Absolutely not. 2. Absolutely not. 3. not needed
  6. Let's have another book swap evening. What about it Steve?
  7. After the ball is over - Charles K Harris
  8. Oh no, I'd better buy a hat and dark glasses.
  9. Possibly the naturists and non-smokers should have combined - it could be painful to drop ash on one's extremities, so they seem natural bed-fellows.
  10. I think economic class and 'class' class are two separate things. One could be the Duke of Peckham yet not have two ha'pennies to rub together; or one could have earned a ?1.2m bonus last year and aspirate one's aitches!
  11. That's so helpful Willow - I'm squirming now!
  12. If you're pushing the boat out, cocktail at Le Chandelier before Franklins.
  13. Not stupid at all. I feel guilty getting rid of my peelings (what ever happened to pig scraps?) and though I have a garden, I don't compost because I have a worm phobia. (How weird is that?)
  14. Country Roads - John Denver
  15. With 2 mins to go, looks like Middlesbrough are going out too. Bloody brilliant.
  16. This is not going to help your argument Mark, but I actually prefer a decent head on a pint of ale - I'd rather that than a full pint of liquid.
  17. How sweet, Michael, you have a matching one: http://www.makemeheal.com/images/products/estore/10091/large/2031.jpg
  18. Captain Cook would be turning in his grave.
  19. Wake me up before you go go - Wham
  20. I rather liked having every Wednesday off due to the train strikes. Wasn't so keen about the uncollected bins. On balance, I think it was beneficial to break the unions' stronghold.
  21. Well done Barnsley - don't you just love the FA Cup?
  22. FYI the March issue of Southwark Life states: "How clean and well-kept an area is can have a big effect on how safe people feel. Southwark's streets are now rated among the cleanest in London, in part thanks to fines for people who drop litter, dump rubbish and abandon cars. Community wardens have issued more than 1,200 fines so far this year, three times as many as the previous year. ... The council has issued more fines for litter, flytipping and graffiti than any other borough, helping tackle the low level crime that makes areas targets for more serious offences." There you go, SeanM - you're a criminal!
