  1. That's a brilliant idea Z-Z. Top hole!
  2. A name would be useful. If he is confused, it could help to approach him by using his name.
  3. So sorry for your loss, tasha.
  4. Balfe's Bikes had a sign up saying they were open. I think you have to ring/email for an appointment. They open at 9am today. Balfe?s Bikes 36 East Dulwich Road London SE22 9AX Telephone: 020 7732 4170 Email: [email protected] Nearer to Stockwell is Brixton Cycles 296-298 Brixton Rd Opens 9AM ? 020 7733 6055 but I don't know if they're still open for business.
  5. "Plus, some "creative" cooking using what's left in the cupboards ......" When the chickpeas at the back of the cupboard call, it must be houmous. Alas, my tahini paste must have died in the fridge a long time ago - I couldn't even chisel it out of the jar. NB: Don't use two cloves of garlic: my breath is like paint stripper now.
  6. I rather think bats are personae non gratae at the moment!
  7. Interesting article if you are into birdwatching: https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/mar/25/birdwatching-from-your-garden-the-wildlife-travel-drama-on-your-doorstep
  8. They changed the computer log-in recently. My fines incurred because I couldn't renew were rescinded. Alas, the ones I racked up before that were not!
  9. Guardian article today that may be worth reading on how ibuprofen is not wise to take for Covid-19 (which I pray your little one does not have).
  10. Two keys on a simple ring have been left on the dustbin halfway down/up the path.
  11. Call me cynical, but the pole for the new CPZ went up opposite my house months ago. I wondered at the time what it was for - I wonder if the Council can predict the Lottery numbers for me too.
  12. There is a CofE car wash app you can download from this site: https://www.theclewerinitiative.org/safecarwash
  13. Brockwell and Battersea are large parks. Taking a chunk from the Green makes a big difference.
  14. "...considering allowing..." From the activity in the park today, I'd say it was a done deal. I can't say I'm happy that a commercial enterprise is taking a huge chunk of the green for what will be weeks - it's not even December yet. Who buys trees this early? It's not like one day events for fetes and fairs.
  15. Turkish shop near Chener Books does yummy hummus.
  16. I'm struggling between Pele and Billy Bremner.
  17. Thanks BNG. Away this w/e most likely. Will have to get a few beers round the telly instead.
  18. What are the odds of there being tickets left over for us ordinary joes?
  19. I believe there is a drop-in session about the CPZ at Amott Road Baptist Church this evening (3 Oct). The info was on a lamppost notice but I'm not sure about the details. Can anyone confirm?
  20. Thanks SpringTime. I have coffee over my keyboard now.
  21. Oh wow. That is the beauty of test matches. Imagine if that was shown live on terrestrial television.
