  1. It was the same for ours and there was a two-month gap between her being dry and her becoming clean. We tried very hard but really I think she did it when she was ready ( two days before she started pre-school!) she had a good friend at nursery who was clean before her, they went to the loo together (as they do!), and I think it did help. Arm yourself with patience ... and lots of pants!
  2. Tks all. I need all day unfortunately. Will be working the phones tomorrow! Tks.
  3. I am looking for a holiday club for w/c 25 march for my three and a half year old daughter. The Dulwich College Fit for Sport club only does half days for her age group so not good for us. Any ideas? Tks and happy Mother's Day to all ED Forum mums!
  4. Blimey - did not think parents still saw things that way! My mil said to me recently that she could not possibly have worked since her husband can't even find his pants. I now think of her as the Chief Pants Finder!
  5. Have you tried Asquiths?
  6. Never managed to get a reading that looked half right with ear thermometer. Now using a digital one (?5) where the sun does not shine like. It works!
  7. There is a fairly long trail of blood down Dunstans Road this morning. Any one knows what happened?
  8. Thank you all for your feedback, which has really helped me make up my mind. It looks like a good school which is improving fast and it will hopefully be our school next year. Thank you again.
  9. I am looking for feedback on Goodrich school.. My daughter might be going there for reception in September and I am just looking to hear of people's experiences in terms of the quality of the teaching, how the school's run, the general atmosphere... My daughter is quite reserved and I am worried about sending her to such a big school... Any help would be much appreciated. Please pm me if you prefer.
  10. Surely they should tell you where you are on the list so you can plan accordingly! It's really wrong if they don't!
  11. Jenni Hird at Six Physio (Monument) is truly excellent. Can't recommend her enough.
  12. I tell mine that if she does not brush her teeth they will all fall out and she'll much less pretty...
  13. My little family has joined the Gardens. Best thing we've done. My phone call last week was answered within two rings and I got an appointment within days. When a surgery does not take too many patients and employs enough GPs, it works!
  14. Salvia, I know exactly what you mean by the uncomfortable feeling. Kegels and toner really helped with it within 3-4weeks I would say so do not despair. It's all about getting acquainted with your body as it is now and learn how to live with it and protect our pelvic floor. Slowly reintroducing exercise like supergolden and seeing what works. One thing to bear is mind is to engage your pelvic floor when exercising. This should help a lot.
  15. Having a good physio really helps. Not just for the kegel exercises but also for advice re: what to do or not. going back next week to see what I am doing that's so wrong on the cross trainer for example. To me, body pump sounds like the worst thing you can do with a prolapse. I am convinced it's bad any way. We were never designed to do so many squats with large weights on our shoulders, a few maybe but not endless repetitions. The toners do work but you should really have a proper examination before starting. Comments from GP that it is quite Common and not life threatening are really annoying! Happy to share physio's contact details.
  16. Could the Harris Academy not take it over? Problem solved! :-) Just kidding... Or not!
  17. And mine is coming back after just a few sessions on the cross trainer! Going back to physio next week. :-(
  18. My 21st was spent in a club in Central London. Don't think I had even heard of East Dulwich then.
  19. Could it be due to engineering works? I heard something to that effect this morning but I might not have understood properly. Oh dear.
  20. I overheard staff at Peckham Rye saying how surprised they were people were turning up and "what did we expect?" Errrr.... trinas perhaps?????
  21. caroandcj Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "in my viewe the arrival of academies in Southwark has > forced all the schools to up their game becuase of > the great results the academies have achieved." I could not agree more. ED primaries are good but we don't have outstanding schools, the likes of Fairlawn in Lewisham for example. Time to up the game!
  22. We are keeping to one because we just about manage work wise and financially... Truth is we would probably make do with a second one - just about - but having just the one feels safer. I do look at my daughter sometimes and think it would be great for her to have a sibling. However I am an only child and it's never really bothered me.
  23. Shouldn't you be working instead of posting, LocalTeacher?
  24. Hever Castle.
  25. The damp proofing industry is very dodgy. We saw lots of very unreliable people before coming across timberwise. They were great from start to finish! Www.timberwise.co.uk.
