Worth walking up to the top floor just to see the 'Stay with me baby' mice. Loved them!

KalamityKel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Treasure Island (level 407!) and Garden of Time do > it for me :)) I played Treasure Island until recently, but got so frustrated with the game slowing down & constantly relying on neighbours to help with quests, that I gave up. Now I only play Farmville, Fishville, Fishworld & Birdland. I keep getting invitations from friends to play Garden of Time, but so far have kept away from it, as I play enough already. The thing is, the games are so addictive, I'm on it at least 2 hours (usually more) every single day! It's nice to know there are fellow players on here. Maybe we can swap info/discuss any issues with the games. And I'm always looking for new neighbours if anybody is interested. Frankito, the Mindjolt Games site on Facebook has loads of games like bejewelled blitz.

Does anybody else play Farmville, Fishville, Fishworld etc. on a daily basis? Just wondering if there are any fellow addicts on here........?!!

Yes, the flowerpot thing works for me, although I don't have a lot of flowers in my garden & it's quite overgrown. I have some broken paving slabs with gaps between them & have put a giant flowerpot upside down on these, so that the snails can crawl between the slabs to get in & out. It's nice & dry & secluded so they keep coming back, especially when I put lettuce leaves inside. Little gem or iceberg is best because it lasts longer, also any left over salad, like tomatoes/cucumber. When it rains, all the snails appear so I have been known to leave them a whole lettuce & it's gone within a few days!

Salt is disgusting. Frankito, Are you just a dog lover, rather than a lover of all animals/insects etc like myself? Snails & slugs have just as much right to be here as your dog. The difference is, you feed him dog food, but the snails need your plants to survive. Peterstorm, Turn a giant flowerpot upside down in your garden (propped up with something one side, so they can get in & out), fill with lettuce leaves from Sainsburys, top up every few days & they will leave your plants alone. I love snails. They are so fascinating to watch. Baby ones are about 1mm wide, so it takes ages to become a full grown snail. Then they are walking on eggshells for the rest of their short lives, trying to avoid being crushed by inconsiderate people walking on them. Think about this & show them some love, instead of squishing them.

I also have loads of them in my garden, living inside upside-down flower-pots! I feed them on left over lettuce leaves & salad stuff.

If you type 'pigeon rescue' into google, there are quite a few local places listed that you could try, also some good advice/info about baby birds. Good luck.

I visited the peace wall today. Wonderful & so uplifting to see all the positive notes. Makes me proud to live in Peckham. Despite everything, I love living in SE15

Do we look different or something? Interesting comment, because if you do a bit of research, you will find that eating meat is actually bad for you. So if you go for a veggie partner, chances are, they will live longer!

Reading the above makes me so glad I'm veggie.

You hear about, and see celebrities on tv, read about them constantly in the newspapers (especially if you read the tabloids), their private lives, where they go, what they do, who they are dating etc., Even though you don't actually know them personally, you feel as if you do. I think that is why people react the way they do, and are are affected by it, when a famous person sadly dies.

37 Bus Route - good and bad comments please

Mick Mac wrote " He would be much better to try to educate people and ask them if they still had the appetite for fois gras, knowing the raw facts/have seen some evidence...dont assume everyone knows or has seen how it happens " Tom is trying to educate people. Unfortunately it is falling on deaf ears, because a lot of people don't want to be educated. They prefer to turn a blind to the suffering & would rather not know, for fear of being put off their sunday lunch. I don't know how anybody in their right mind can encourage the horrendous cruelty involved, by continuing to eat it, once they have learned the facts. I can't even bring myself to watch the video 'Force fed to death' on Mick Macs post, because I already know how bad it is. If you do want to be educated, I suggest you watch it. 37 Bus Route - good and bad comments please
aquarius moon replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I rely on this bus for work. Travelling from Peckham Rye towards Herne Hill on a weekday, service not too bad, Early on a saturday morning between 8 and 9, pretty haphazard, Returning from Herne Hill any day, regularly have to wait ages for a bus. We need a more frequent, regular service please. -

If you find it so boring & can add no valuable input, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Melanie, I feel very sorry for you, because I know exactly how you feel. I have 3 shih-tzu X yorkies and used to walk them all together. One of them was attacked by a staff last year (I posted about it on here) Mine were on leads on the pavement when the out of control beast flew out of an open gate. Because I had all 3 dogs, I couldn't pick them up or react quick enough. Luckily a neighbour appeared & managed to get the dog off before it did any real harm. It left me shaken & apprehensive to walk my dogs, as this was not the first time that bigger dogs have gone for mine. Since then, I walk my dogs one at a time, usually round the roads, but sometimes in the local cemetery (never in the park), where I'm constantly looking around me & keeping off main paths where other dogwalkers might be. Having small dogs these days is a nightmare with so many irresponsible owners letting dogs that they know can be vicious, off the lead in public places. Not only is it inconvenient, having to go out on three separate occasions twice a day, it has got to the stage where what should be an enjoyable experience is now so stressful, I can't wait to get my dogs back indoors. I hope that you and your little dog are ok.

The 345 is no quicker getting to Clapham than the 37. I've tried both, but prefer the 37 because it is a nicer route.

Virtual DJ - Which 3 songs would you play to fill the dance floor?
aquarius moon replied to Squeaky's topic in The Lounge
So Toploader has been thrown out (due to the OP leaving if it gets played!) In that case, I'll suggest "Time To Pretend" & "Kids" by MGMT "Look me in the eye sister" by Groove Armada If they get the same response, I'll just accept the fact that I am on a totally different wave length to fellow forumites (but probably knew that anyway!) -
