  2. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Funny how drivers say "take a car it's cheaper" > when you talk about public transport but complain > about "a war on motorists " the rest of the time ____________________________________________________ That is truly bizarre. Congestion charge + parking + insurance + vehicle excise + petrol Might be that they consider a black cab as 'public transport' hence car might only just be cheaper?
  3. +1 Ladymuck My studio's 8miles from ED (Bethnal Green), it takes me 30mins to cycle that journey. However bad the weather is... It's always better by bike than getting the bus or the train. For so many reasons more than simply being quicker. Fun, cost, time, health, germ free bla bla bla

I would second Louisiana and advise you to use Firefox instead of Safari. If only to see if the problem persists. I stopped using Safari two or so years ago... much prefer Firefox and have had very little go wrong since.

Just saying like (if it's a competition)

  7. I've seen a group of those idiots messing around Bellenden area in the summer. Wish i could have stuck a stick in their spokes... Twunts! Do whatever it takes to (legally) do them KK
  8. "Nobody actually needs to eat meat" Except your friends, like Mr Bear who loves Salmon, Mrs Tiger love buffalo and Zebra. Thomas the cat love Jerry the mouse... My point simply is that eating meat is as natural to some species as eating grass is to others.
  9. Zeban flounder? This simply isn't the right Plaice to be talking about fish. Way too much carping on about fur though!! You can trawl the net, it's all here.
  10. @ Zeban, I think that was a very serious point made by Mockney about farming endangered animals. Certainly embracing and accepting the situation rather than fighting a loosing battle would seem to be a way forward. What would you, as someone who would like animals protected rather have: them farmed, or poached to extinction?
  11. Think i'll be stopping Champix this weekend. Did you cut down or just stop Champix I heard it's best to cut down..? After so long off the ciggies you can't spoil all that good work... keep at it! Anyhow, well done you!
  12. Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > For the hell of it I think I'll move to somewhere > I don't know anything about. (doing the Champix way) Apart from little outbursts like above, it's been really easy! *touch wood* How about you Narnia?
  13. Thanks DJKQ! I am grumpy that is obvious.... Truth be told, i'm in my fourth week of non-smoking and enjoying it! (even though those around me are not!!).
  14. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You don't shear a rabbit, you shoot it. > > Ann another thing..... _______________________________________________________ So you're saying the glue sheepskin to Uggs? We eat Lamb as well as Rabbit. What's your point?
  15. OK, no hard feelings. Try this link, should help you with your question: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=east+dulwich%2C+what%27s+cool+for+young+folk
  16. Don't be so tetchy or as immature as to judge all the locals on my one post! Really was just saying, can you not use google? The OP doesn't even state what they like or dislike? Yet they expect to sit back and expect us to submit our favorite things about ED to them for their approval... weird! Ok, i like crack dens. there's a good one, and it's next door to where you live?? Come on. I'm a perfectly reasonable person when asked a reasonable question.
  17. zeban Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I care very much about animal rights but I don't > see any problem with wearing VINTAGE fur. I'd > never buy NEW fur, _____________________________________________________ What's the difference between new fur and vintage? Why would you think that an older fur is better than a newer fur? Animal is dead in both cases, so what differences does it make apart from possibly some weird emotional attachment you might have because it was a long time ago? Not picking on you Zeban, cause i do get where you're coming from. I just don't get this new fur v old fur. All dead as far as i can see.
  18. What RosieH says. @ Zeban, what Tarot says is fact. Which does make me laugh as so many vegetarians eat cheese like they eat fish and wear leather shoes... But they would never cook me a steak when i'm round at their house!!!
  19. Is it me, or are folk getting really lazy these days? I mean, starting a thread asking people to tell them what's good or where to go just smacks of complete laziness to me. Hey, why don't you tell us what you like and we'll Google that for you and then post it back up here so you can see. Or better still, just search yourself. Google isn't that difficult to use. really. On a lighter note, welcome to ED!
  20. ^Point affirmed, libraries are now redundant. (sadly'ish) Unless of course you need bags for garden waste. (which i don't because Southwark have given me a bin for that specific purpose) ...but i used to love libraries

This is a shining example of how not to set the forum ablaze with responses to such a crap thread!

I don't need a link, just show me the light. Tarot's no use, if he/she were bright they would have just googled it!
  25. Ha, best bit: 'At 6ft and 15 stone, he stood out from the crowd.' Who wouldn't when stood next to the average malnourished, vegetarian student protester? Just saying.
