Baugar, when they were buying up half of the UK's retail businesses. I guess they could see the novelty in it. Before the crash, Icelandic banks/companies owned a lot of the Uk's high streets probably second to Arcadia.

Interestingly, just came across this: Hamleys and Iceland Foods will reportedly be put up for sale by failed Icelandic bank Landsbanki. The frozen food supermarket chain is expected to fetch up to ?1.5bn.

It is the last battleground left in the class-turf-war.

You don't give enough information for us to know exactly how her line manager handled this. So we are left to speculate. More information would of course result in more accurate feedback. Is your 'friend' a close friend or merely a colleague. They seem to know a lot about this apparently private personal issue/problem? I stand by my first post! (i am an insensitive line manager)

She's just being oversensitive! You can't do anything right these days, without someone finding reason to complain about this/ that/the other.. Sound to me like he was doing her a favor, sometimes the truth hurts.

The whole situation with Rye lane/ road works/ buses/ duration. A complete an utter disgrace. That's all.
