  1. Magners here :)-D
  2. lol...good point....maybe we haven't seen the jumper that solves it yet!
  3. I'm sure she's not so short of offers that she need treck over to ED to drink with a bloke that called her 'a dog'......Annette might be free though ;-)
  4. I think she's attractive. Horses for courses. I take it Jah, that you are a doppelganger for George Clooney? ;-)
  5. Not James finest comment for sure.......thieves will always find some thing to nick. Obviously high levels of youth unemployment and higher than acceptable levels of illiteracy amongst school leavers is definitely something that is letting far too many young people down (and government/ business and parents all have a role in playing to correct that) but to then use that to reason for the few (and they are a few) who take it on themselves to rob (be it aggravated or not) is a bit much. Having said that, for some of those without hope, it may be easier to turn to crime than to look for more constructive ways to make a living or occupy their time...not helped of course by the soft attitude by the judicial system to those that get caught.
  6. It used to be the latest car stereos that teenagers targetted....now it's mobiles phones. The point is that there will always be some high value 'must have' gadget around with a ready market in stolen goods. I still think that the best way to protect yourself is by way of common sense. Don't parade valuables (and leave them at home is possible). 99% of thieves and burglars are opportunist and look for easy victims. It's always been that way irregardless of the number of thieves at large.
  7. DJKQ may gain through several levels through expressing an opinion, including an elevated social status that allows her position on one debate to influence her achievement on another. I like this analysis......!
  8. ha ha....of course I am...reliving my youth in my mid life crisis!
  9. Ah there's a differnce between advertising and publicity though...discuss ;-)
  10. Oh c'mon H...I think we all understand what was meant by the op....advertising a product for profit or gain...pray tell what just do I gain from the infamous or otherwise offerings to self abusive drivel that I post on here. You on the other hand have a job that depends on it for your livelihood...thank god I am not so dependent or afflicted.
  11. I have to agree that without a cave and food (you forgot the firelighters Rosie) I'd be well and truly fucd ;-)
  12. Tbh right now I'd find use of a car club cheaper than keeping my own car but I have 6 points on my licence (due to expire August) and no car club will let me join because of that. I do wherever cheaper/ easier use bicycle/ bus etc but there are times where only a car will suffice.
  13. Yeah but I'm not 'selling' anything H....big difference. Someone who gets paid to work in that field is.
  14. I love the 'Life of Brian' but am finding 'The Big C' the best thing on TV at the moment.
  15. Ya Charlie was born to this megastar dad and followed in of his megastar dad (not hard to do) into acting init. But had his dad been a pit man would lil' ole' charlie been able to afford the easy escapist philadering route of drugs........... The guy is LAZY LAZY LAZY and like all lazy people will take the easiest route out (just that his attracts media headlines by association and oh he doesn't have to steal to support it). Don't even get me started on women beating..................
  16. Advertising is a stupid concept that adds nothing to life. It serves only to sell meaningless shyte to people with meaningless lives................discuss.
  17. On what do you base the 'Gwyneth Palthrow is a dog' statement? After all you probably don't know her, haven't worked with her etc.
  18. Cab...you have no need to apologise for your comments or your take on events. What matters is what can we do as a community to reduce the likelihood of something like this happening again in our community. At the end of the day it has nothing to do with class, affluence etc (poor people are just as miffed as anyone when it happens to them). Use resources like the SNT to make sure problems are targetted and take the advice of others in regards to the value of the phone a teen may carry etc. As I said before, the excellent SNT of Nunhead and Peckham Rye (headed by sgnt Neil Cooke) has had real success in tailoring local policing to local crime hotspots (including teen on teen robbery). Make sure the Dulwich SNT do the same.
  19. I think he already has hasn't he? He sent her packing boxes back in that yellow van!
  20. Which means we haven't seen the jumper that solves it yet? I have no idea who done the deed either but I'm pretty sure the white jumper didn't do it!
  21. But what is your hair like?.......that could be it!
  22. I'd have loaded up two Uzis and packed a few grenades and gone back there and scarred (no typo error there) the theiving scumbag into a confession personally ;-)
  23. It's because she has fantastic hair......
  24. An external hard drive for all your personal files is a good idea but you must disconnect it and put it away when you go out if you don't want that stolen too. Also there are several online servers that will host your personal files for you...like a remote hard drive if you like...that a burglar can never steal. My preferred method is to also back up to DVD every day any files I've worked on (just like I do at work). Yes you end up with a file full of DVD backups...but no burglar will ever steal those either.
