  1. yeah - I am not outraged and I love the area and I always make sure my tongue is in my own cheek.
  2. You're such a pussy cat in the flesh!
  3. I thionk Agent Provocateur or Sh! would be more East Dulwich.
  4. An elderly man was sadly murdered at the back of the little estate I live on, about 2 years ago. Sadly the murderer was never found, and it did not make major headlines. It is tragic. I never take my life here for granted. I am not saying Get Over It. I am saying this could have happened a mile away in Peckham, or across the park where I live - it just happened to be where it was.
  5. I still love London. I still love East Dulwich. I still love Peckham. (And I still love Kent; I grew up there.) It's the ignorance of many people that piss me off. Like implying no crime goes on outside London. No. Of course it doesn't. Never. nuh uh. Please shut the door on your way out. Or That's it. I have lived in SE15 for 25 years but this crime - less than a mile away - across the other side of the park from me albeit in another post code is a crime too far. I'm moving. East Dulwich is clearly a crime ridden hotspot and you're all welcome to it with your million pound houses and posh snobbery. (Couldn't decide which to post so posted both.)
  6. I'm a motorcyclist so apart from in Westminster on Sundays all bike parking is free. But I do care about car drivers and local shops survival, and the horror stories I read on places like this forum saying how fascist parking attendants ticket people picking up their kids one minute over the time. That sort of thing. K&C apparently are doing this because of the free parking offered by Westfield.
  7. But but but I have NEVER had a problem with IE! Ever! And I am not a techie.
  8. It doesn's ask for personal health info. I have personally opted out of the National Spine.
  9. Oh god this is funny.
  10. How else am I gonna advertise? 084 numbers are just SOOOOOOO expensive.
  11. The little girl who hugged the snowman she saw a few weeks ago, and said "Mr Snowman are you cold?" melted this childfree woman's heart.
  12. Well, should I? (IE = Internet Explorer. And if you didn't know that, you probably not best placed to help. So let's see if anyone can help out here!)
  13. Who ya talking to, AllforNun?
  14. The only comment I noticed on this article was from Huguenot. I can't be arsed to comment, despite the mistakes. That's journalists for you.
  15. Maybe Southwark will do a similar thing. Yeah right. But if anyone is going to the Community Council meetings can they raise the issue? I am working so can't go then. I started a thread all about the Community Council meeting.
  16. Maybe she's writing in character?
  17. Nothing changes. Fiddles go on all the time. I am often in a pub when someone will come in with some joints of meat from questionable sources and sell it to the barman. This is another reason I prefer to eat vegetarian when in pubs. Some lovely stories there, Wardy! Thanks for sharing them with us!
  18. I am shamelessly bumping this one. I hope you all can do this form. Even if you have not seen a doctor in years it's important to those of us reliant on NHS.
  19. And I was out. Today - Sat 21st Feb 2009 Hubby was in grabbing a bite of lunch in between working for two or three of you, and I was out. Labour party rang the front door bell and had a chat to him and he said they need to worry about Boris Johnson simply because he is doing what he said he would do, and is not PC minded and not swayed by opinions, but by factual evidence etc etc. (Things, I might add, that I would have said had I been here.) Telling them he was in a hurry they said they had Harriet Harman downstairs if he would like to meet her. They didn't specify whether they'd abducted her and stuffed her into the boot of the car or what, but I digress. I am on the east side of Peckham Rye. Did anyone meet the lady and tell her what they think?

    Wormery

My next door neighbours got one from the council, and it was a total disaster even though we obeyed the rules and did not put citrus stuff in it. There were little flies everywhere and it just stank. And yes, the worms died.
  21. There was indeed a separate form you could sign which was given to me at my Doctors at Nunhead Surgery - please go there or phone them on 020 7639 2715 to ask how to get a copy.Thank for adding the link to the online forms above. Do please remember to also fill out the PCT form on the other link I started.
  22. But what about poor / elderly / confused people? You're talking only from your own point of view. Elderly people calling call centres when they just want to talk to a doctor? At my practice Nunhead Surgery they are REALLY keen to remain personal and keep the human touch as well as their own phone number.
  23. Oh cool! Then we could send them out under diff names! I will do that if I get sent more hard copies.
  24. OK found it. Complain HERE
