  1. I think Lindsay Lohan reached the back of the stalls. But Richard Schiff would for example gabble away pointing stage left but if you were sitting in the opposite direction, you couldn't get a word. Shame. Do tell us what you thought!
  2. Just saw a preview of Speed The Plow with Richard Schiff (West Wing) Nigel Lindsay (loads of stuff) and someone called Lindsay Lohan. Nigel Lindsay stood out as a brilliant actor. Richard Schiff IS a great TV and film actor but we could not hear him and we were front row of Dress Circle. Lindsay Lohan. Beautiful, knew her lines, not a theatre actress. I know, it was her first theatre play but she did not develop a character, it was just her 'trying'.
  3. Apart from the roof I LOVE it. Congratulations to them!
  4. Yes, phone them up. Their numbers are on the southwark website. Follow links. Meanwhile, so sorry about these thefts.
  5. You may not thank me for this. https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/transport_supporting_paper.pdf
  6. Also, they will come and collect from you. And if they say they will not climb up stairs to collect and expect you to get an item to ground floor, argue with them. The bosses know they will collect but the information does not always filter down to the unprepared untrained person answering the phones.
  7. I also filled it in and preferred PeckhamRye route but where it asks for comments I suggested we could have both like the Northern Line divides. But I did also argue that the Old Kent Road not only is the better road but Walworth Road is less than adequate. Of course it will take many years! But that's fine. We must always think of the future.
  8. So sorry to hear of this and glad you called the police. I would also advise Motorcycle Action Group if he is a member. Having told the police I would also consider just 'reminding' the Safer Neighbourhood Team for your area so they can keep a look out and alert other bikers they see in the area. Bike shops do checks on bikes they're offered for sale these days and also eBay takes the registration number first and appear now to be linked to DVLA.
  9. Signed. The item on the BBC's Inside Out programme was awful, too.
  10. I've seen a horse fly (and "last night" in a post title needs changing now!)
  11. But if he can get on the train without going through a gate where he needed a ticket to get through, he may have thought he can buy one on the train. The train from Bromley South which I sometimes get down to the south east coast has ticket inspectors who will sell you your ticket on the train. No fine for having got on the train without one. There: a precedent?
  12. Mean-spirited, spiteful and narrow minded. Yeah, right. Thanks SJ. You have no effing idea how effing offensive your opinions continue to be just because you don't like someone else's.
  13. I still think that cyclists should be registered as long as they share the same road as the rest of us and can be responsible for accidents like the rest of us.
  14. I still play mine. Honest I do. I have yards and yards of albums. See? Yards. Not Meters. Yards of vinyl. Soon no-one will know what any of that means.
  15. I like people who are cyclists and cycle well, safely, courteously and thoughtfully, and are not a danger to me, other road users, or themselves. Ditto I like people who ride motorcycles, drive cars, drive busses, taxis, etc as above. I also quite like people who are pedestrians who choose to look before they cross the road and don't just wonder across whilst on their mobile phones. Answer your question?
  16. Also, ask boosboss and Bonniebird who basically organised the Dog show element and if you want to, become a member of The Friends of Peckham Rye Park if you want to be involved and have a say about the park in general :D http://www.foprp.org.uk/
  17. It was BRILLIANT and if you want to see forty photos of the dogs PM me and I'll send you my Flickr Link.
  18. Just send me a PM and I will give you a link to my Flickr set. And if one of the photos is of your dog, PM me your email address and I shall send you over the photo for your use!
  19. It is a lovely idea and I remember when I first moved here it was open and very popular. But, in the days when councils are wanting to spend as little as possible and even offload the running of the parks to Friends of Parks type groups and voluntary organisations, do we really imagine this Council will have the funds and drive to open up our Lido again? On the other hand, loads of money has been found to build the new fitness/gym/pool at Elephant so why not? And it is at the north end of Peckham Rye Common and last year Pull the Other One hosted the Village Hall Experience on the site. It would be good to do something at this site, and for a few years a Peckham City Farm was suggested.
  20. Sounds like a plan the raffle idea. I saw Martin Freeman as Richard III. Still some tx available apparently. I had seats on the stage. Not convinced about the set but the actors and production was wonderful.
  21. Saw the warm up at Peckham Pelican. Well done Huggers and if anyone IS going I can highly recommend her! x
  22. Go up the Shard with the one she loves....
  23. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/174230844/east-dulwich-london-map-cut-se22?ref=listing-14 Wow!
  24. But maybe it was the police what did it! Anyhow, again hope nobody got hurt.
  25. If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me? (Was that from Dr Hook?)
