I agree with PTime, they're cheap to make, irresponsible and divisive. And yes they are broadcast version of The Sun and Mirror. And if the programme makers who doubtless went to film school and production courses with high ideals of making great telly had more choice, they probably wouldn't be making them either.

Gypsy woman stealing things in dulwich watch out

I know it is too late now, but for anyone else, and you when you get a new phone or your old one back, I highly recommend you install software on your computer and phone so you can track it when it gets lost. AndroidLost works for me. -
Spread a little vegemite on the toast (or Marmite if you prefer; I prefer Vegemite), before putting the cheese on, whichever cheese you choose.

(so how do you delete an entire post when you then realise it should have gone in the For Sale section?!).

Depending on which side of the postal code you're on there was a Nunhead and Peckham Rye Community Council meeting last night where the Highways team attended and would have been a good point at which to raise this issue. I have asked for more bike parks in the past. The one down the top end of Peckham Rye park near opposite the little Sainsburys by the bus stop at Heaton Road, does not have a signpost to 'back up' the motorcycle bay white writing on the road, and the Traffic Wardens are not allowed to ticket the cars who park in that bike bay. Also, there are bike bays around and a pizza delivery place opens up nearby and uses that public bike parking bay as a bay for their own commercial vehicles, ie pizza delivery bikes. I have raised these issues before. Good luck to you asking for a new one. I definitely think there should be more around the borough. I am lucky I can afford a garage but not everyone can. As for sinking anchors in the public highway, (like in Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and other boroughs) good luck with that. The best is the one at the North Cross Road which has a rail you can attach chains and Dlocks too, but as that road closes Saturday, so does access to the bike park! But if you don't ask you don't get ignored. Do try asking and best wishes.

I found it more difficult being in one particular school where there was a wide breadth of abilities and we were all dragged down to the lowest, meaning I, at the very top end, was bored and under-educated till I was able to get out. The make / brand / type of person you are means zilch, but if you are willing and able to learn and you're in a class with those who are unwilling and unable, there's the problem.

And Honor Oak / Waverly is now Harris Girls School, right? All this and more (minus the photos) in The Peckham Society News. And also, there is a "Peckham Revisited" page on Fb. Loved the videos Huggers!

I use a broker. Always use a broker. Every quote they have ever offered have been cheaper than on the few occasions I have tried using a comparison site. And when I found one quote cheaper than the broker, they investigated what was involved and explained that the offer did not include certain aspects of an insurance policy that I need.

Never had a problem with our local one on Forest Hill Road. They are fair and friendly. I had reason to be in Holloway yesterday and remembered I had a card on me I needed to post. The PO there on Seven Sisters Road is big, and even though there were only a few in the queue every station had staff and they were friendly. but the best bit was that the front third of the space was a fabulous caf? with gorgeous pastries and guess what it was called? Posta Coffee.

Time it right with the tide, and do Pegwell Bay around the Isle of Thanet to Minnis Bay. That's around 16 bays. If the tide goes against you the views from the top or the promenades are pretty great too. And along the way there are some wonderful pubs.

On the front page of the email it said full price was ?58 and sale price was ?59. Clicking on the advert the true version of half price appeared. To be fair to TimeOut l have taken advantage of their offers to shows and events and have not been disappointed. I shall always have a soft spot for TimeOut because l met MrRose through Lonely Hearts there through an advert l placed twenty five year ago.... Got him half price too.

Someone stole our Monkey Puzzle tree
PeckhamRose replied to lisarjohn's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Maybe we should put a chain around the one at the north west corner of Peckham Rye Park next to the nursery ex toilets. And attach the chain to a ground locking device as used by Motorcyclists that the council may have access to. Chain up the plants! -

years ago on a walk around Peckham Rye Park we were told that the thieves who steal the plants are often found to be nice middle aged ladies from Dulwich who - when questioned - say they have the right as they are rate payers. And we should report it to the police. Quite right too! I do hope you get your plants back. -
Sadly unable to attend so glad to read about people's thoughts. Sad to read people thought the street food (was it all street food?) was too expensive though. Don't see why that has to be the case. Shame!

Inside a small bowl, put lemon or some citrus juice and a piece of apple, and cover in cling film, then pierce the whole with several holes big enough for fruit flies to get in. They will do so. They won't get out. We did about three of these and each morning there were hundreds in there and two days later - zilch. I got this by googling something like how the hell do I get rid of hundreds of fruit flies!

southwark council service charge
PeckhamRose replied to fredbear's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
helenmct21 you absolutely must challenge this and get together with LAS who I am sure you are a member, and also Leaseholder CAB and get advice to challenge it. I have been sent an Actual with just a ?2 deficit. I am wondering if they will take me to court if I do not pay the ?2 till January when I go along and pay my three months in advance. (Council made such a screw up when I organised Direct Debit that I pay at the cash office now!) -

Am very impressed with the long motorcycle parking bay at the rear of Kings College Hospital. There are metal rings you can loop your chain or D-lock through. Clearly a biker was involved at the parking design department! Some councils have this too, to be fair, though even the barrier section by the bike parks (like the one at North Cross Road, which infuriatingly - as the road is closed to traffic on a Saturday so is the only bike park in the area!) allows you to lock the bike to the barrier. (For those that care - locking the bike to something means a van can't come along and lift bike away.) It is good to lock-to-lock too but you may find you have looped your lock through the lock of an idiot who does not realise that what you have done is a considerate thing, and get angry! -

I am sure the ground anchors are for your own property / garage. I can not see how the council would allow people to dig up and bury ground anchors in the public highway outside their own houses. -
Curiosity only! What do you look like!

Wrong. I am uglier than THAT. -
