  1. What an unpleasant thread.
  2. I strongly suspect that the cat is brighter than Borky.

Yup, she's patently buckling under the pressure of having to appear strong on Brexit when she really believes it's the biggest disaster facing this country for many moons. I have little sympathy for her on anything else, mind you. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I challenge anyone to watch this clip and then > tell me that May is strong and stable: > https://mobile.twitter.com/BBCNews/status/86990835 > 0019829760/video/1
  4. Actually it was Wednesday when I posted :-) I can't say it's a rigorously researched survey but having lived in the area for 22 years, the only times I've ever come across anyone moaning about aircraft noise in ED is a handful of people on here. I wasn't being prickly by the way, just amused. I think you've got a little bit of projection going on there hpsaucey, which makes sense, given your "sensitivity" to sounds.

  6. Well this only indicates that there isn't a general problem. hpsaucey Wrote: -------a------------------------------------------------ > Rosetta Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > hpsaucey Wrote: > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > > ----- > > > edcam Wrote: > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > > > > > ----- > > > > Somebody appears to have crept back after > > their > > > > ban. > > > > > > > > Planes aren't a problem. > > > > > > Planes aren't a problem to you/where you live > > hat > > > is. > > > > > > So much local variation in the noise levels. > > Have > > > moved just 10 mins walk from my old house > where > > > the noise was pretty bad. 7. Somebody appears to have crept back after their ban. Planes aren't a problem.
  8. Because they're allowed to. It is annoying though.
  9. Yawn. 10. It's hideous. Don't go there.
  11. How lovely. Good luck to you suzisoo!
  12. Because it's an unnecessary forum, which can't make up its mind whether it's for Dulwich or East Dulwich. There's already an established forum here, we don't need another one.

    Cat Poo

The only possible response to the OP is get over it. As for uncleglen's comment - what an arse.
  14. This thread is remarkably sensible for this forum. Reasoned and realistic posting. What's happening?!
  15. This happens everywhere, all the time. Never bin anything with your personal details on without shredding or obscuring first and then there's no problem. If you've binned it, you don't need it anyway.
  16. I'm going to call the police next time someone breathes near me.
  17. Not true. It's still an offence. Councils may impose stricter rules but it's definitely an offence. omgwtfpwn Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Renata Hamvas Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > There are a large number of dog owners in the > area > > and most likely it's the same minority not > clearly > > after their dog on a daily basis. 18. You've linked to the main page Sue. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hope they catch the bastard. > > ETA: Just seen this > > http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php
  19. I know the owners too and this is definitely not their style. They've done the right thing, so the show's over.
  20. The point being missed here is that on any given journey I'd be amazed if anyone could travel at more than an average of 20 mph in London. Therefore the limit seems reasonable.

  22. Also nicking for FB. Thanks Alan.
  23. I passionately believe that Brexit is a huge mistake and am still very depressed about it but unfortunately this march won't make a blind bit of difference. Even if vast numbers turn up, the media will underplay it, particularly the BBC I'd imagine, bearing in mind how they've been criticised for bias (unfairly criticised IMO.) Hats off to anyone going but sadly this horse has bolted.
  24. As it will be of no use to me, or this neck of the woods at all, I couldn't give a toss.
  25. Agree a place with food more akin to Ganapati would be great. It's infinitely better than anything in LL. A good Vietnamese would be good too.
