As the Churchill dog says "oh yes" Been picked up in a variety of other cars including a Mercedes but agree with davidr that the finance package makes the Prius a popular choice with the drivers
  3. So how does it work, how do we request a poll and who decides if we get one or not ? Can it not be an option on the creation of the first message without having to request it ?
  4. Was there a car on the other side of the road that could have triggered it ? If not then sad to say you have been busted
  5. Good to see you have the security to be able to identify scum like this, as your original post said you have videos of him outside and inside your house. Hope they catch him as it will make everyone that little bit safer in the area. Sorry to hear that you were targeted and hopefully he didn't cause too much damage
  6. Bit late now, but a glass of milk when going to bed helps the next morning plus drinking more water with the alcohol to thin it out in your blood
  7. Hey Loz, are you part of Brussels because that sounds the same deal they gave us in terms of contributions (a one in forty return) lol
  8. The person on crutches going down a flight of stairs in front of me the other day at Clapham junction station who decided to text on his phone at the same time,,. Madness and couldn't he have waited until he was securely at the bottom of the stairs and out of the way of the rush hour crowd... Grrrrrr
  9. Intersecting that you jumped on the tax avoidance options rather than looking st the strengths of the U.K. Financial sector and what it offers to the rest of the world and Europe.
  10. I started this discussion to see what people's views of a potential brexit are and it has been very interesting to see the polarised views on here so far. As mentioned earlier, there are no real facts being presented by the in or out campaigns so far, just s lost of speculation and some scaremongering (by both sides) With today's BBC news headlines "EU referendum: France issues border checks warning to UK" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-35712463. With the fianc? Minster In France saying it's our border control (ball) and we will take it away if you don't play fair, it has made me wonder what the impact on our neighbours in Europe would be if we did vote out. In my opinion, France and Germany would be forced to increase their financial contribution to the EU to replace the shortfall when we leave, the Eastern European countries would have to find other countries to migrate to as our borders would be closed to them (or they would have to support their own people in their own country) the whole of Europe would be liable for more of the migrants arriving on their borders as we wouldn't be part of any European scheme going forward, interestingly we could be in a stronger financial position than the European markets as we wouldn't be subject to the eu regulations which means potentially more financial institutions will move to the uk from Europe if our financial regulations are more beneficial and less restrictive for them. If import /export controls and restrictions are applied would our European partners also find it harder to trade with us (a large importer of European goods) Not sure how much of this would be realised if there was a brexit, but it would be good to turn the discussion upside down to see what the impact on Europe would be from other countries point of view
  11. I saw the ukip mayoral party political broadcast tonight Wonderful acting and camerawork, can't wait until their referendum broadcast as it really is like watching one of those old high road (or your local high st) wobbly image tandoori adverts we used to get in the cinemas in the 80s
  12. I have bin over this discussion for days now
  13. Personally I think Penge would be a far better place if the big Golden Arches of Americanism moved away from the high street, nothing to do with the quality or type of product sold, simply because of the mind set of the drivers who have to park right outside to get their "healthy" happy meal, often blocking the path of other vehicles or even double parking just to get their fix of Mac. It makes Penge feel grungy and the far too busy for my liking. Still if the blow ins want to move away from the delights of East Dulwich then who am I to complain....
  14. That's very true Loz, and depending on what you are making depends on if you need to take the time to make proper puff or rough puff Personally rough works for most recipes and as said its not hard to make plus it's a lot more satisfying than buying it ready made in my opinion
  15. Sigh I swear by this mans puff pastry recipe and it's easier than buying it ... Once mastered you won't look back https://www.cooked.com/uk/James-Martin/Quadrille-Publishing/Desserts/Basics/Simple-rough-puff-pastry-recipe
  16. I do hope you reported this to the police as your report may help more robberies of this kind

Sadly the Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) shut down the Croydon Visitors Centre last year (as close as you got to a tourist board for Croydon.) So if Seabag works for them he is very much down and out on his luck now :-(
  18. Peep Show is based in West Croydon and they show shots of Zodiac Court where the boys flat is based (it was actually filmed in a flat in Zodiac Court for the first two series before the owner of the flat objected to its use) Peep Show Kind of sums up Seabags experience of West Croydon Come around for a cup of tea and therapy my friend (or bring your own special brew)

  20. My advice is to sing this song when carrying the coat through customs in Germany... Sorry that should have read NOT TO sing this song 😅
  21. Sheff, out of curiosity, what amount (value wise) did you import from Europe and what did you export back to Europe? I wonder if you imported more from the EU than you exported to the EU ! I do believe we import more from the EU than we export (value wise) which would make it preferable for European countries to still minimise red tape and costs regardless if we are in or out. Also I fear that Merkel (and Germany) only wants us in because of the amount we pay in to the EU every year and if we leave then they (and other countries) would need to increase their input to support the countries in the EU that need to take out more than they put in. Just my views but they do niggle me at the back of my head when considering all of this. Besides the BBC news today talked about the possibility of the EU wise migration situation which could break Europe apart regardless so it may be academic which we vote in June
  22. Of course, the most convincing argument I have heard so far for getting out of that if we do, then we will never ever have to compete in or host the Eurovision Song Contest ever again. That alone would be a result 😅
  23. I'm loving watching the Louisa and blah blah love story unfold here. It's interesting to see different peoples points of view, and even more interesting to listen to the politicians statements of belief (not facts) about what they think will happen either way including we will be safer and stronger in the eu to we are at a higher risk of terrorism if we stay in... Both are speculation as we won't know either way until after the referendum. So far I haven't seen any real facts on if we are better in or out but I have seen lots of speculation and predictions again looking at the concept that we won't be able to trade with Europe without levies and tariffs , it should be noted we import more from Europe then we export, so in who's interest would it be to restrict trade between the uk and the rest of Europe ? Over the next 4 months there will be lots of rumours and the real game will be to distill the truth
  24. Was the eu agreement good enough yesterday and now we are going to the polls which way will you be voting ?
