  1. Thanks, I'm glad this has now been completed! :) Renata
  2. The burst pipe has been fixed. The road repairs will be done over the next couple of days and then the 63s can come back on route. (I have asked Thames Water to contact TFL at this point) Renata
  3. All the documents are now on the website. They can be viewed here> http://planbuild.southwark.gov.uk:8190/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=externalDocuments&keyVal=_STHWR_DCAPR_9564164 Renata
  4. I definitely wanted an extension through Camberwell and Peckham too!I don't think that second phase means Camberwell and Peckham, but further extension to Hayes from Lewisham. Renata
  5. https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/tube/bakerloo-extension/?cid=bakerloo-extension I think important at Elephant and Castle is improved interchange not only between Northern and Bakerloo Lines, but also to National Rail and Buses. I would certainly support shaft 1 being in the middle of the Bricklayer's Arms junction rather than in a public park. I prefer option no 2 for both stations. The Tesco option would give better interchange with bus routes along the old Kent road. The Toys R Us option would be further long the old Kent Road, I think the site near B and Q is too close to the Old Kent Road 1 Site station. (These are my current personal thoughts, please let me know what you think) Renata
  6. Hi all, I will pass your comments on. I did ask them before about lines, but there was something about aesthetics and shared space.I will ask again, Adam. Renata
  7. Sorry Siduhe, I don't know, all Thames Water have told me is that it's a 6 inch main. Fingers crossed that this gets sorted soon, Renata

  9. I've had a response back from Thames Water. There is a damaged main under the bus lane. The repair has been recharacterised as urgent and so, hopefully, will be repaired more quickly. Renata
  10. Due to a leaking pipe at the junction of Marmora Rd and Forest Hill Rd Thames Water have scheduled a repair starting on February 14th. Unfortunately Tfl have been notified and 63 buses suspended past Peckham Rye. I have contacted Thames Water and asked that either the works are moved forward or that the buses are reinstated until works start. I am waiting to hear back from them. 363s are running as usual. Renata
  11. Hi CD, please could you pop me an email with the picture attached and I'll chase it. Thanks Renata

  18. Here is the answer to an enquiry about the cycle path on Rye Lane raised by a cyclist in a unrelated thread (a thread on whether the ED forum is useful or not). Dear Councillor Hamvas Thank you for your email about the postings on the East Dulwich Forum. I understand that you will be responded to separately about the parking enforcement. With respect to the cycle path through Rye Lane, we have carried out a number of temporary asphalt repairs where the buses (and possibly delivery vehicles) have damaged the kerb line. Our normal practice is to wait until we have a number of such repairs and then arrange for new kerbs to be installed under a full road closure, as obviously the costs for such closures can be significant compared to the actual works costs. I wholly appreciate that the relatively narrow carriageway width is a contributing factor to the damage but the costs for any lane widening would be huge compared to the benefits obtained. Longer term there may be some scope for such works as part of the overall Peckham regeneration works but there is nothing planned in the immediate future. Please don?t hesitate to contact me if you should require any further information. Regards Dale Foden Street Care Manager Highways Division
  19. Hi all, below is the response I received from Thames Water about the leak and the resultant accidents. Our Ref: 33289982 Leak in Homestall Road Dear Councillor Hamvas Thank you for raising residents? concerns regarding the time taken to repair the leak in Homestall Road, near Harris Girls? School. I am pleased to confirm we completed the repair in the early hours of 20 January, but I fully understand concerns regarding the hazard presented by the water freezing in the recent cold temperatures as we were contacted several times by customers worried about the danger. It may be helpful to explain why it took so long to complete the repair and outline our actions taken to prevent accidents being caused by the leaking water. We first received reports of the leak on 10 January and investigated that day. Our Technician raised the necessary repair and the leak was added to our gritting list until the repair could be made. This meant our contractors attended and spread grit at over the site of the leak each evening when temperatures were forecast to fall below zero, in order to try and stop the water freezing and causing a hazard to road users. While we were planning the repair it became clear that we would have to re-route parts of the local water distribution network in order to minimise the potential disruption to our customers? water supply. Just isolating the 6 inch main in Homestall Road would have resulted in 1600 customers being without water while the repair was completed. These included businesses, the school and several vulnerable customers, so we also had to ensure that the repair took place during the evening in order to keep the impact to a minimum. We were able to reduce the impact significantly by bringing in water from other parts of the network for the duration of the repair. Unfortunately, this took some time to arrange, as we first needed to locate and test the network valves we needed to operate to re-route water around the network and isolate the main in Homestall Road. I am very sorry that during our preparations for the repair, we received several reports that the leak had worsened and that the water was freezing during the night which had caused some accidents. Although the leak was being gritted, it appears that the volume of water escaping was washing the salt away and allowing the water to freeze. As a result we raised the priority of the repair and were able to cure the leak by fitting a clamp onto the damaged section of the main during the evening of 19 January and early hours of 20 January. Once again, I am very sorry for the length of time it took to I understand you have been contacted by residents looking to make claims for accidents they suffered as a result of the ice. Residents can claim through their own insurers, who will then seek to recover costs directly from us, if they feel we are liable. If customers wish to contact us directly, then they can either submit a claim in writing to the postal address above or via email to [email protected]. Our claims team will then liaise with our insurers to ensure any claim is settled fairly and as swiftly as possible. I hope this information is useful. If you have any questions, please call Michael Flynn, a Senior Case Manager in our Executive Office, on 0800 009 3965. We are open between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Yours sincerely Laura Edwards Local & Regional Government Liaison
  20. Hi Rowan, Sarah-Marie and Ian. I have tried to contact Anthony Roberts today and left him a message. I have asked for clarification on the submission deadline and about the documents. Renata
  21. Hi Sarah-Marie, I'm sorry to hear that they have appealed. It is important that you and other residents respond to this. It will not be a Southwark planning officer, but one from the Planning Inspectorate (yes one person making the decision). Unfortunately the council's decision can be overturned. Renata
  22. Hi Siduhe, the mobile recycling centre which will be at Sainsbury's 10-1 tomorrow does take fabrics. Also the Recycling Centre at Devon Street. I will enquire if there are other options. Renata
  23. I think they are fine for teenagers; one of the issues, however, if they are studying at a desk under the bed is that, there is sufficient light. Renata
  24. Now moving again, first trains through are 30 minutes plus late Renata
