  1. Sorry, we were away until today! Is next week the last week before school starts? We will definitely be there next Wednesday. I'll be the one with two girls winding each other up and driving me crazy. Perhaps, I'll wear bunny ears or something. ;) -C
  2. Thomas' uniform shop in West Dulwich have navy blue 'Paddington Bear' duffle coats without logos. If you didn't want to go far and wanted to actually look at it...
  3. I believe you can clean it like pure silver, ie, polish with a dry soft cloth. If this doesn't work, you could try using a touch of silver polish which should do the trick as I presume it is the actual silver that is oxidising. And certainly silver polish wouldn't hurt it. Hope this helps, -C
  4. a quick google yielded this pathetic comment: Peter Theo is a former Millwall (unconfirmed) and Arsenal (unconfirmed) player who has become a property tycoon (unconfirmed). Peter Theo is also the footballer who's career ended prematurely due to a pie related knee injury, however, since then, he has gained respect from the footballing world for his wikipedia entry (marked for deletion due to minor fabrications of a football career).
  5. We've used nannytax.co.uk and they were very helpful. They are also good with nannyshares as well, or any other complicated nanny arrangements.
  6. Hi Mich, I've been doing research as I have a friend coming for a visit with her lactose intolerant/gluten intolerant boy and did manage to find the Sainsbury's "Free From" range that contains no dairy (as well as gluten). Unfortunately, it's limited to fish fingers, chicken nuggets and a small amount of other things, but at least it could be a start if you need something quickly. It's found in the frozen section and also the back wall of "healthy" foods where they have biscuits and crisps, etc. Also regarding the milk, have you tried hazelnut or almond milk? My friend's son is on that (he's nearly 3) and seems to enjoy it. Hope this helps a bit, -C
  7. Crikey Citizen, is the thing that prevented you from getting to the play group the same thing that prevented you from going to sleep at a not so un-Godly hour?? Vicky, sorry realised I didn't post dates - but during the summer it runs Monday, Wednesday, Fridays 9am until noon and again in the afternoon. I think during term times it's only in the afternoons (I'll check when next there and reconfirm). Pickle, Fuschia - do we wear big hats? Have a funny handshake? Are daffodils in season now? Meet by the sand table at a certain time? I'll be there next Wednesday.
  8. Everyone is welcome to come along Vicky. Lots to do and a padded, pillowed baby area off limits to older ones that your 9 week old could lay around in. I wonder if I saw you too Pickle?! I was there from 9.45 until 11.45, have two girls... Perhaps next time. I feel as though the EDF is a taboo subject in public!
  9. I read your post the entire time thinking the title was "Bushes and help."
  10. Sorry to miss you, we left at 12 noon... What a lovely day!
  11. That's so odd because I went to Sainsbury's on Monday with my two (2 1/2 years apart) and as I walked across the car park with a child in each hand was approached by an employee asking if I wanted a twin trolly. I thought it was very helpful of him asking despite the fact that my eldest wouldn't fit in the seat. Now I'll know to jump at the chance next time. Lesson to be learned - go to Sainsbury's on a Monday morning. ;-)
  12. Wednesdays are perfect. We're away on holiday for a month next week so I'll watch this space and catch up with everyone in late July. Can't wait! Thanks for arranging Fuschia, such a great idea and great to finally meet other mums and/or dads and sprogs.
  13. Sorry grouchmacgabhann!! I'm not ashamed of my desire for one of the above. Edited to add that I still patronise the local butchers (naturally) and the local veg shop.
  14. Stop teasing us... we've been waiting forever for the illusive M&S/Waitrose boutique to come to ED.
  15. Would love to join you Fuschia, et al ! Have two girls, 4 1/2 and 2.

  20. Especially the Castle as it was so sticky with nicotine. I've often made my husband shower after being there.
