  1. Well take a look down Hollydale road in Nunhead - the one with the 2 schools on - yep one's a primary school. It looks like the RAF were testing the runway bombs for the original gulf war down it, and yes it has been in that state since the 90's. But hey, no problem in 2004 the Lib Dems decided to re-surface some roads where they could win some votes, you know some of the more gentrified roads, of course they kept that plan like our RAF pilots...wait for it...under the radar...funny that!
  2. Er sorry DG - it's rubbish. Last time i looked we were in 2007, just like cars things in the play area world have moved on a bit.
  3. And Maurice ....you really are a bit divvy; forget my comment about your age, being senile is no excuse for your stupidity. As for ED taxes paying for their own regeneration you can make a paper aeroplane out of that pre-school theory. Everywhere in SL has risen, have you ever thought to put down you copy of the The Procreative Male and wondered why there is barely any tube service serving South London? And let me be very clear, it is absolutely nothing that you have done other than being in the right place at the right time that has contributed to the gentrification of ED I understand if your motorised vehicle has difficulty navigating its way round Peckham, it must be hard dodging all the pit bulls, but try and get out a little more. As for "destroyed by those living there" they really should stop your access to the blended food service for that comment. If you drop people in an run down area, fail to provide any decent schools, leave parks like the Rye in an absolute shite state for years, provide absolutely no decent facilities, only give people a decent library in the year 2000 then what do you think might happen, Adults/Kids grow up surrounded by signs that no one wants them, trust's them or believes in them. Obviously there are lots of exceptions but what we are talking about odds, a bit like the bookies really, you know how they seem to know which horse to make the favourite it's a bit like that, so...A bit like yourself.....its simple really!
  4. I have seen all the Architects plans and schedules for the Elephant absolutely a go go go - it will look amazing - lots of things in place to stop the flats being hoovered up by people who do not really need them.
  5. sorry - "Councils have been diverting taxes to gentrify certain areas for YEARS"
  6. Maurice please stop with this Tax thing it is just daft. The councils has been diverting taxes to gentrify certain area s for yours while letting others slide, wake up and smell the Blue Mountain Coffee. What rights far and above are you talking about? We are talking about an individual walking into a pharmacy and then walking away again. Obviously if the street suddenly becomes full of hordes of zombie people dancing to Thriller late at night then the thing gets shut, thats it. I do understand where you are coming from and am presuming that you are of an older generation but you need to relax about it for a bit. Maybe speak to the buddihst in the BARA association.
  7. Thank you Ganpt but I am not sure what it is you are actually saying other than - look at me standing tall and oh so reasonable on a fence. Of course everybody will say no to anything to do with drug treatments near them but you have hit the nail on the head with "5or6 of them". All this babble, a myriad of false pretences and for what 5or6 people struggling to straighten out their lives.
  8. The chances of anywhere near 500 P/N residents actually being informed about anything is very slim.
  9. Oh my gosh.....do you think it is wise to a have this odd collective of individuals living so close to a nursery ?
  10. I presume FOPR et others know all about this forumn. And why the FOPR would not know about Nunnhead considering this park borders the Peckham and Nunhead communities defies logic. Well I knew you had dogs so watch out. I can talk to animals as well. If they stop responding to you, start staying out late and come home smelling of a different shampoo don't say you were not warned. now if you don't mind I am enjoying a nice pint of balsamic mmm
  11. Oh come on jessie spangles, the reason why its quiet is that most mums tend not to feel that safe heading into a secluded area of a park which come winter is even gloomier than normal. Is it in more or less of a need for modernisation than goose green ? and we are just talking about the Play Area no other aspect of what is, with lots of hard work from the FOPR a top park.
  12. What exactly are you saying ratty...?
  13. At a minimum, the aging process can take up to twelve years for true balsamic vinegar which is legally labeled aceto balsamico tradizionale. The longer it is permitted to age, the higher the quality and price. Indeed, some balsamic vinegars, depending on age, can cost hundreds of dollars for a mere half cup! Less than 3,000 gallons of genuine balsamico are released each year. It is so highly prized that it is considered disgraceful to cook with it. Rather, connoisseurs profess that genuine balsamico should be enjoyed in its virgin form, untouched by heat, much like a fine aged whiskey. Just some facts about balsamic to add to this threads flavour!
  14. Woah BallsofFun? You would need two pints of balsamic to get me performing those tricks. Now leave me alone as I am making Bolognese with carrots and large pieces of celery.
  15. Yes...your talking gibberish! How would you be able to tell who was buying condoms and lubricant, and who was exchanging needles ?
  16. 18 responses suggest that this area is really badly used? Which would mean that the majority of people do not really rate it and that BonBon and her motley crew of closet Lib Dems should take note.
  17. Dear poodle boy - the consultaion process was minimal and targeted to a specific demographic. Areas were selected before hand for example the Nunhead Community forum were never ever informed or engaged and the council has actually been paying someone to carry out a study as to how they broaden the dialogue and information sharing process as a result of this and other problems. why don't they ever announce the dates of the FOPR meetings on this forum? how come the pool area consultation consisted of an 2hr meeting over a year ago attended by 17 people, 14 of which tried to form a circle of their own before being asked several times to break up into smaller groups. A friend of mine told me that she left soon after as it was clear it was a closed shop. If this is the reaction to basically being told to improve the dialogue shame on you and your dogs.
  18. I tell you what bastadized is all about see, I never said nothing about the rest of the food at the EDT see, eaten there once 4 years ago see, just talking about black vinegar see, and when I have finished with these broads I will deal with you see. 19. Dear BoozeBoss. You mentioned Nunhead/Peckham how? Sorry I think I missed your comprehensive strategy on this one? As for ramblings may I suggest that trying to undermine someone's opinion with such crass attempts to give yourself some moral authority is sadly very transparent. may I also suggest that you start a thread asking for some help in raising awareness of your next park project. Maybe someone with some advertising experience could suggest some contemporary strategies from the real world. Obviuosly that would mean you may have to let go of the talky stick at meetings and work on your issues with control.
  20. Dear Kentucky Buckets - nothing to do with snobbery just bored of rubbish food served in variety of establishment in ED because the same people who wang on about keeping the Lordship Lane individual and eclectic are more than happy to eat bland food (supplied by the same mutinational frozen food supplier) at ridiculous prices. As for reducing poor quality balsamic in a pan and pouring it hot onto a cold salad, what great chefs are you drumsticks on about?
  21. Nunhead station all the way for me - great services to both Victoria and Blackfriars - heavily used. Nice little ride through the park from ED and leave the bike near the station no problems. The amazing view across the entire city is also a bonus. Worth a trip on Nov 5th !
  22. Sorry but any kitchen that uses a bastadized version of balsamic..ie creamy balsamic poured over fresh leaves needs their heads testing. This mutant-balsamic comes in giant containers from a very large food supplier. Most of you moan about not wanting the high streets to look the same, come on think about it.
  23. Maurice by your logic you can see into the future, i am sure you could make some decent money out of that gift. As for estates and taxes, my taxes pay for the road outside yoursecure unit, the wardens who patrol you corridor and the pills that are obviously causing you to have visions. Visions of hoards of unwashed and mal nourished individuals ravaging crystal palace road of lead roofing, copper piping, lightbulbs, garden bulbs not to mention the huge increase in kidnapped pets to used as part of a ransom demand. As for your consultation how about this " ok we have listened and concluded you are all badly informed, over reacting and slight hysterical. Thanks for coming, now could you close the door behind you"
  24. Er not at stir - believe it or not on the other side of the park live a group of human beings with small children who do not want to walk 2 miles to freekin goose green. As for the "dog are is a separate issue" you really are taking the piss. The fact that there never was a dog are there until 2 years ago says it all really. Er we want a new dog are and lets cut the park in two, er now we want new fences and lamposts, er now we want a new play area to rival Dulwich Park! Lets hope Gordon runs for a snap election, ming dies of old age and the lib dems and the Con nutters from Dulwich vilage all get arrested for corruption. Power to the people and down with the Croc Dulwich massive. !
  25. BARA they run a swap shop needle drop above the sweetshop on NorthCross road x
