Just been on one of my walks and took in Peckham Rye. What a pleasure that place is.. I visited the Wild Meadow near Peckham Rye / Strakers Rd. were the old Paddling Pool used to be. (1950's) Wild Flowers like Evening Prinrose. A sanctuary for Bees.. Butterflies.. Moths.. and other insects. The park is so interesting with avenues of old trees.. a pond with Geese and Ducks.. Sexby Gardens.. beautiful Flower Beds.. an enclosed Picnic area which is Dog free.. Plenty of other space to exercise dogs.. A Cafe.. Also many open spaces for Sports and Recreaion. And plenty of seats around the park to just sit and relax. The Park Staff are amazing.. We are all very lucky to have this facility on our doorstep. DulwichFox -

I'm not winding anyone up. Louisa posts a new thread.. I reply because I happen to know what is going on and have done for some time.. Jah Lush makes a comment He (me)threatens them with bad reviews. Sue pipes up with an untruth about falling out with the owners. Jah Lush then accuses me of taking money for restaurant local paper review. Again nonesense. Sue makes another stupid remark.. Or very close to Jafflong, anyway, because they could see it from their place I think she may of meant. Dul. Tan. well you would have to have FRigging good eyesight to see someone sitting in Dul. Tan. from Jaflong. Sue accusing ME of winding people up. DulwichFox -

Michael P. There will still be BYOB.. but probably no Sunday Buffet. ??? It's a big space and the back section may be for private functions. I think they plan to have some LIVE music and music is booked for the opening night. Foxy -

I did not speak to any one. I did not take.. supply .. feature in any picture.. I did not speak to any paper .. reporter.. I eat in most of the Indian restaurants with the Curry Club and independantly. all this started because SUE wrote. Which is Total B*****ks.. As far as I can make out 2-3 years on, Jaflong were scammed by a fake reporter.. and I know no details. Perhap they paid for what they thought was a 'Genuin'Ad that did not appear. Then the other Ad appeared so Jaflong were angry they had been duped. Hope that helps. Foxy -

I for one am looking forward to M&S > opening. Just seems this is aimed at me.. But is wrong on every point.. As for the noise. It will not affect me so only thinking about other people. Like I usually do. As for Aircraft noise. It has never bothered me.. Ive lived under the flight path all my life, both here and in peckham I have no problem with M&S on L.L. so NOT determined to find fault. Who says I dont't want it. ? I would love to of seen Iceland stay and M&S replace the Co-op. That would of been an ideal situation for all. Foxy

Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Let me get this right. You've been paid to give a > good review to a rival curry house in a local > paper and Jaflong got the hump about it? Absolutely not. I did not give a review to anyone about any restaurant. Someone supposedly from a local paper visited Jaflong (2-3 years ago)took photos and offerd a free Ad. The Ad did not appear .. but a Half page Ad for an other restaurant did. That was a PAID Ad. That's all.. Foxy -

There was conflict over an interview with a local paper with one restaurant and a supposed FREE review and an inclusion of a Half page ad. for another restaurant. The half page Ad. was not Free but a PAID Ad. I sort of got in the middle of it all. That is all I can say here on the matter.. DulwichFox -

I was carrying my own basket of shopping. I would of needed a trolly to go around the store picking up all the crap in the other aisles. I would certainly of aroused some sort of suspicion. It is NOT up to customers to clean the store. I have in the past picked up plastic 'price' holders and placed them safely on a shelf. I have slipped on those myself in other supermarkets. As the law (an ass) stands.. If I had picked up some of the rubbish and 'Missed' a piece, I would of been responsible if someone slipped on a piece I had missed.... .. Like clearing slow from your path.. and the postman slips on the ice... you are better off leaving it be. and report it like I tried to do. DulwichFox

Many years ago my mum sliped on a magazine in her home and broke her hip landing on carpet. She had 3 operations over the years.. At one time she slipped on a small piece of plastic in a store resulting in her new hip coming loose. resulting in the 3rd operation. SO.. do not underestimate the dangers.. If someone were to slip and fall backwards hitting their head on the hard floor surface .. it COULD be lethal. DulwichFox . (Previous Health and Safety Officer) for large corporation.. B.T.

You are right Sue.. The pictures are not real they are Photoshopped. Every aisle was littered.. and it is not up to customers to pick it up. It should not be there. Some elderly people have poor eyesight and will be looking at goods on the shelves. I have seen one lady in the Co-op that uses a Magnifying glass. Pieces of plastic can be dangerous. I think if You were to slip on something in there, we would not hear the end of it. You will be old one day.. DulwichFox
