  1. Hi R.D. Do we have a Leauge pin yet. ??? Predictions for Week 1 2016/17 now out.. Many thanks. Foxy
  2. Pictures of rubbish in The Co-op. 06/03/2016 6:25 PM Real Slip / Trip hazard. I reported it to floor staff who shrugged their shoulders.. I reported it to till staff and showed pictures.. Ignored... not interested. Asked to speak to someone in charge.. Guy said HE was in charged.. Showed him pictures. He just said. " some one will probably pick it up soon' This is NOT an isolated incident. The place is a Tip.. Note:- This was the Co-op .. NOT Iceland just to clarify DulwichFox
  3. No. you should all sit there and wait for your food to go cold... ...like in posh E.D. Restaurants where they spend so much time farting about with the food building towers and such. :) Foxy..

  5. flyer22 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > has to be the worst sunday yet we've got them > every 20-30secs today - have signed the petition > only 49 signatures left to go Nonsense.. Planes into Heathrow normally fly 5 miles apart.. but can be as close as 3 miles. So 5 miles in 20 secs.. 15 miles a min. 900 mph. 3 miles in 20 secs.. 9 miles a min. 540 mph. I do not think so. Planes are usually 1.5 - 2 mins apart. 5 miles in 1.5 mins. 200mph 5 miles in 2.0 mins .150pmh That is more realist for an aircraft on final approach. DulwichFox

Yep and for a couple of months it was 17% 2/3rds - 4/5ths of my income.. It was hard. and now I'm an old git with savings I'm getting 0.5% interest so I'm still paying the cost of other peoples cheap mortgages. Foxy.

Think you are doing the right thing Sue.. It would be a safer place for everyone if ALL new cylists took a few lessons. Safer for them and safer for pedestrians. Too many people jumping on a bike 30 - 40 years since they last rode one as a kid. Well there is a lot more traffic these days. Good on you. Foxy
  9. So we can send a Spaceship to examine the moons of Jupiter.. .. send Astronauts to the International Space Station.. .. But we cannot find someone to fix a frigging Gate. DulwichFox

  11. Saffron wrote. Also there is no clear link between DVT and diazepam, with or without the criteria of long haul flights, of which I'm aware. The link is that anyone sedated is likely to sleep longer and move less increasing the risk. DulwichFox

It's not a case of being negative.. It's a case of being realistic. I would be happy to see the pool re-built. Obviously a modern design. not to original spec. :) The old pool was pretty dire. It will take a considerable amount of planning and time to complete. The fact that a Feasability Study is required backs up my concern about whether it can be done. and at what cost. Foxy

  14. On a Local level.. Dulwich Hamlet Vs Millwall - Friendly Sat 23 July Kickoff 15:00 Always a good one.. and a good fund raiser for our local team. Even if I will be supporting The Lions. Foxy..

OP - you should > always follow the advice of a medical > professional. Perhaps ask you Dr or a nurse in the > practice about using your medication on a flight? I am not suggesting any G.P. misdiagnosed anything.. Dehydration is NOT an illness. cannot be diagnosed as such. Anyone can become dehydrated at any time. One of the first signs of dehydration is dry mouth severe thirst, discomfort, and loss of appetite. It is understandable that the O.P. has stress reading her situation. Being Diabetic you get to understand how your body works. Blood Pressure. Blood Sugar levels. Nutrition. Hydration. I neglected my own health looking after someone over a period of 8 years.. resulting in becoming Type-2. The O.P. needs some Respite to recharge her batteries. Not Diazepam.. DulwichFox
  16. Valium Diazepan once refered to as (Mothers little helper) is a very addictive drug.. My mum was given this drug back in the 70's and I really think it did not do her any real help. If you take Diazepam/Valium you should not drink alcohol at the same time.. You should also not drive. If you suffer from any sleep disorders such as snoring (sleep apnoea) you should not take Valium. Your G.P. should of discussed this with you. I was given Diazepam a couple of years ago for stress. My G.P. gave me just two 5mg Tablets. I a bit supprised your G.P. gave you a 2 week supply. Feeling sick, loss of appetite, dry mouth, very tense shoulders (Muscles) can be a symptom of Dehydration. Water is important and making sure you are hydrated will improve many health problems. People simply do not drink enough water. As for flying ? Diazepam MAY increase the risk of a DVT on a long haul flight .. Again, see your G.P. DulwichFox

  18. This is a serious incident and not an issue for just the Family Room. IMHO. It is not an E.D. Issue but is of concern to all of us. The Lounge is probably the best place for most people to see this post. Not sure what the O.P. means by the main forum area.. The Moderators need to decide if this thread should be moved. Let us concentrate on the subject matter of the thread and hope things turn out for the best. DulwichFox
  19. Back on subject.. A couple more intrances might be useful.. ..but there would need to be more paths built. so costly. Foxy

Should have just hopped the fence but I had > a bike with me. Funny that .. I walked through G.G today .. it was strewn with Fish & Chip boxes 5-6 from Rose's place.. Ady's rd. end. I visited Rose's first week it opened.. FREE CHIPS it said in big letters but was told offer had ended after 2 days.. I wanted to eat in so asked for a plate.. Was told Restaurant was close but I could eat outside but no plate. Just a box. No salt and vinegar on the tables.. had to go back inside to get some. No metal Knife and Fork. Plastic wood. The owner became extreemly abusive when I mentiond another F&C's place nearby saying the fish there was frozen.. Which I doubt. ? A notice outside stated her fish was fresh daily from Scotland. ?? Private jet. ? Anyway it was't the best Fish & Chips and the batter stuck to the bottom of the box and was very greasy. The chips were very poor. Little crispy bits. It wasn't a good experiance.. but it was onl their 3rd day being open. DulwichFox

I never said it was.. I do not use the term 'Hipster' Hipsters to me were trousers usually flares that had a wide belt.. :) I used to swim at Peckham as a kid and also Brockwell Park. I just feel that the geographic site is not suitable with the heavy traffic and lack of parking. Brockwell Park has parking and has far safer access. DulwichFox ETA Saftey must be Priority of any Feasibility Study..
  22. Pool Temperature.. Can anyone here give any idea what it costs to maintain a full size outdoor swimming pool throughout the year. In this part of the UK. As I understand it the Lido at Brockwell Park is NOT heated. Might br wrong but info from regular swimmer there. DulwichFox.
