  1. Iceland was not a weekly shop place .. it was a convenience store.. Last minute... It is NOT convenient to walk / bus it into Peckham or get the bus through Camberwell to Walworth Road. Everyone knows what a nightmare that can be.. DulwichFox.

I went in on her third day and they had a BIG ad . outside saying FREE CHIPS Well I was charged and she said 'we have stopped doing that now.. ' after 2 days.. Then I was refuse a plate as I was eating at the tables outside... There was NO salt and vinegar on the tables. So had to go back in to the counter area.. There was no proper cutlery.. Just Plastic-wood things. She bad mouthed other Chippys in the area.. suggesting THEIR fish was all frozen. which I know is not true. Something restauranteurs should not do.. But It seems .. she once worked / owned SEMAS where if it is the same person she was Always really nice to me.. It is a shame as I was looking for a second fish & Chip shop a bit nearer to home. It's unlikely I will be back and in the evening The new Jaflong Tandoori is 2 doors away. and for an extra fiver I can get a proper meal.. Paying ?8.00 ish for Fish and Chips in a cardboard box is not a good deal Foxy
  4. Yes she does move up and down L.L. Gave a small donation of 50p and recieved a broad smile and an extra flourish on the keys.. At least she does not just sit on the pavement doing nothing.. .. and indeed brings a little joy to a an otherwise dull L.L. Like a bit of French Accordian.. Foxy.

I thought you meant Underhill but Louisa was also talking about a chippy on Upland rd so I was doubting myself.. The one on Underhill is Semas and has gone downhill in recent years. The Batter is not crispy. it's hard but raw underneath. The Lady there (Rose ?) was alway really nice to me.. but if it IS the same person she was extreemly rude to me when I tried the new Roses fish bar and asked for a plate to sit outside. There were people (friends) inside eating off of plates but I was refused one.2.30pm. The Fish and Chips were very average. Foxy
  6. I can't recall a Fish & Chip shop on Upland Rd. There used to be a Really good Chinese many years ago on Upland rd. the other side of Barry Rd. Foxy
  7. Mastricht is massive ... A big square 3 times the size of Trafalgar sq. and 2 smaller ones. There is a pub/bar for ever 200 head of population.. It is very colourful with some very inventive coustumes. There are 100 or so brass bands that tour the streets and bars. Just when you think you could not possibly get another person in the place another 10-20 piece brass band squeezes in just a couple of tunes before the next band arrives. It is crazy.. http://d3mi0kjorayujs.cloudfront.net/system/files/000/063/185/large/11de11de%2021.jpg http://www.avdweb.nl/Article_files/Gallery/Miscellaneous/Carnaval-Maastricht-2007/resizedimages/Carnaval-Maastricht-2007-02.JPG It happens in February and often snows.. Not sure how long sit in has been available. Never went before the reburb.. They have about 5 tables ? new toilets. People coming in still remarking on what a brilliant change so must be quite recent. They are also Licensed and sell Beer and Wine.. Fish & Chips and a small beer for a Tenner. I have had some pretty dire Fish & Chips in Brighton and Ramsgate in recent years so not always better. DulwichFox.
  11. Well .. when it comes to The E.D. Deli.. Mr. Fox, you know the miserable (old) git.. most negative poster here on EDF has to say that on the few times I used this place they could NOT of been more helpful. I was looking for Low G.I. bread and was treated to an in depth chat about their breads and what might be the best for my needs. I had other similar experiances at other times but cannot recal them specifically. Perhaps other people felt 'neglected' while I held their attention. When you talk to people.. and take an interest in what they are doing, they treat you with respect.. I wish the new Shop all the very best.. I think they too will be a valuable addition to L.L. 12. For Quality and Quantity cannot beat Cod Fellas. White flakes of Cod. Beautiful crisp batter. You might have to wait as everything is cooked fresh to order. Cheapest prices with Free chips on Fridays. (certain meals sit in & t/a) I only have sit in as too far to walk for a take out. (most Fridays weather permitting) Other places more local to me I no longer bother with.. The walk to Cod Fellas gives me an appetite. DulwichFox
  13. Never been before... so not likely... Been to Carnival in Maastrict several times. 3 days of fun.. Music .. Twice the size of Notting Hill and Never any trouble. DulwichFox

Do M&S Ready meals not cointain .. salt.. sugar.. polyols.. artificial colourings.. e-numbers.. preservatives . ? Do they contain less saturated fats.. ? Are they any of more nutritonal value .. ? Are they Healthier.. ? What do you base your statement above on .. ? DulwichFox

I had an issue with Jonnies.. could not remember what it was.. That was it.. Plus I complained because my breakfast was cold.. Baked Beans on a cold plate.. Excuse was the plates were cold because.. wait for it... It was Snowing.. Foxy..

  23. For the best optimum speed use a cable to connect to your Router.. It will be much faster.. Things that can affect your 'Wireless' speed.. Your neighbors, Wi-Fi Networks Microwave ovens, Cordless phones, Baby monitors (yours or your neighbours) DulwichFox.
  24. Hi Annasfield.. You said you have changed the frequency.. BT Home Hub 5 settings guide - how to get more speed and make it less annoying.. We've seen some people advising to only use the 2.4GHz network, as it's faster, but this is poor advice and is not true. If you have not already done so have a read here:- http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/networks/1403054/bt-home-hub-5-settings-guide-how-to-get-more-speed-and-make-it-less-annoying Hope this article helps.. Yes.. I did put sea(t)ing missing out the (t) I was asked my opinion on a selection of materials / colours and I choose an elegant black which I hope people will like. Not that many people will be looking at the seats. :) The restaurant should open on time but without some of the finishing touches as the owner Ali has had to go to Bangladesh due to an illness in the family.
