New Jaflong (Tandoori) 60 + seats with larger kitchen and facilities.. Larger dining area with private dining catered for including weddings.. and the like.. So not just a relocation. It's a upgrade to a better larger establishment. Good luck to them in their new location.. DulwichFox -

It's the only LOCAL Indian / Bangladeshi Restaurant where you can BYOB and with no corkage. That suits some people.. The large seperate rear space will provide an area for Private parties.. which is what is proposed. There will be live music evenings.. something different.. ?? Their menu suits a vast majority of people and if you haven't been for a while,(Old Jaflong) you should pay them a visit. The new kitchen is vast with new Tandoori ovens.. and other equipment. DulwichFox P.S. The seaing material and colour was choosen by myself, so if you do not like them you can blame me.. I'm sure you will. :) -

Theoretically :- Wet paper around the bottle in the sun will cool the beer as the water evapourates.. It's kind if how a fridge works.. Might need to repeat several times.. Just put it in the freezer for 10-15 mins and DO NOT forget it is there.. Foxy

It was actually the Threepenny Novel... and not the Threepenny Opera .. Easy to get the two confused.. In The Threepenny Novel Street Beggars are exploited buy their 'owners' and fight for top spots.. A bit of Dickensian Faginism 'my dear' in there somewhere.. DulwichFox

If people WANT to walk then there is nothing to stop them.. If they walk part of the way ..say from Dulwich Plough The buses are full before they get to Goose Green.. Having half empty Express buses are not cost effective. Unless you charge a premium to use them.. DulwichFox. -

An express/limited stop service ?? That's a ridulous idea.. Most of the route is solid traffic.. How are the Express buses supposed to overtake the normal buses. in the bus lanes. ? and half empty buses going past stops is going to really p*** people off forcing them to walk to 'Express' stops which get be rammed... You would need twice as many small buses (Same length so no ease on congestion) so will use more fuel.. ? DulwichFox -

The people outside the Co-op seem to be a small group of well organized 'Beggars' who operate a strict shift system. They change over at set times. This used to happen outside Seven-11 some time back (1990's) 2 hour shifts. One of the guys.. a pleasant friendly black fellow would come into the Palmy and tip 20 pounds in change on the bar asking for notes.. ?10 an hour back in the 90's.. not bad. Perhaps people were more generous back then.. The Threepenny Novel A character named Peachum maintains a syndicate of street beggars whom he ruthlessly exploits.......... Try sitting on that spot and see how long you last .. DulwichFox

I was at Dulwich Hamlet recently.. I was advised about the Burgers and warned not to go for their MEGA Burger what ever its called because it is seriously MASSIVE. I had the basic burger.. A large bap.. with a juicy burger.. 'Fresh' salad.. red onions.. lettuce ..beef tomato.. Now I normally ditch the salad stuff but I scoffed the lot.. It was really nice.. and just ?5.00 (Fiver) amazing value. Foxy..
