Possible Scam to see if house is empty
DulwichFox replied to Froglander's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The Children's Deaf Society do do Door to Door visits. https://www.ndcs.org.uk/get-involved/about-our-fundraising/where-we-are-working/ Important to assure any visitor is a genuine fund raiser. DulwichFox -
I would imagine that the dead fish are due to the extreme temperatures a week are so back. Foxy

Overcrowding at Memsaab Lordship Lane
DulwichFox replied to Friernlocal's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The Virus is not going to go away. Even with a Vaccine, the Virus will still be there. The Virus seems to affect people differently. It has killed people but some people have very little symptoms. Perhaps any Vaccine may react the same way protecting some and not others. We all have a choice. If we have no symptoms then we can take the risk and go out for a Drink or a Meal. Alternatively We can all not go out... and stay at home until we die. At nearly 70, I have made up my mind what I am going to do. I will not take too many chances but will try to make the most of the time I have left. Foxy -
Overcrowding at Memsaab Lordship Lane
DulwichFox replied to Friernlocal's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I went with a friend 2 weeks ago on a Thurs. we were give one of the booths that hold 6. Well isolated We had our details taken despite Memsaab knowing me very well. There was plenty of Sanitiser around and staff were wearing Masks. The restaurant was quiet. The problem is with the 1/2 price days introduced by the government. Walking past it does look very busy on those days, but so does Hisar.. Rammed packed. and Franco Manca too. If people are concerned about social distancing they don't have to go there on those days. Went to The Tessa Jowell Health Centre this morning. Very impressed. Nice Bright and Clean. 2 people in front of me, Waited about 6-8 minutes. Walk in front door and Blood Tests are right in front of you. No long dark corridors like the Old Dulwich Hospital. Foxy

DMC at Chadwick Road is more civilized. You can walk in and speak to reception. Exchange documents. DMC Crystal Palace Road has always been a joke. even before Covid 19 Foxy

beansprout Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tessa Jowell Health Centre. Think sane hours as > Dulwich Hospital. Thank you Beansprout .. I got a text from DMC about outstanding Blood Tests for my annual review and to pick up a blood request form ?? from The DMC which is not that easy as they have no face to face and reception is closed. Are Blood tests still done at Dulwich Hospital or are they now done at the New Tessa Jowell Health centre I went to the website and was redirected to St Thomas hospital for all blood tests. I Know Kings does blood tests but Not normally from G.P. Requested tests. DulwichFox

Bony Fido Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's ridiculous because the barriers take up less > of the road than the parked cars did, so there's > no good reason for buses not to stop there. That's very true. It is just typical of Southwark Council and TFL. Sainsburys has a deal for The Elderly to shop between 8.00 - 9.00 when it is quieter but with bus stops closed and Freedom passes no longer available early morning Elderly folk who rely on Public Transport cannot get there. It is a crime to be old. The Elderly are a Burden on Society, TFL and the NHS. We should all stay at home until we Die. Fox

The Pavement opposite has been 'Widened' for social distancing.. ??? Very Odd when all the Bars cafes and restaurants are chock-a-block. The popular Bus Stop is currently Closed. The Elderly and Disabled now have to walk to the next Bus Stop to catch a bus. Foxy

I Bought some Large Canadian (Frozen) Scallops from Sainsburys yesterday. ?7.50 for 200 grms That is ?37.50 / kg Hopefully they will be of reasonable quality. They should be at that price. Foxy.

Just to put everyone out of their misery.. I am Not desperate to Buy Scallops. I have lasted nearly 70 years without them. I watch a lot of cooking programs on TV and just though I might try them sometime. To be Honest I think the moment has long passed by. Foxy

I have been feeding Our Foxes for years. They are there every night. They never leave any unwanted deposits outside my house.

Flies hate the smell of Essential Oils like lemon grass, peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus. Apart from the Smoke the smell of Joss Sticks also deters them. Burning a couple near an open front door stops them coming into the house. Foxy

The large Paper Garden Waste bags are ideal. I personally would advise against putting Shredded paper in your Blue Bin loose. It is likely to be refused by our waste collectors. DulwichFox

More talk about the need to close Pubs in order to allow 'Soft Play Areas' to Open. I fail to understand the connection between the two. Any Ideas. Foxy
