We Know Many people have caught or passed on the Virus in Hospitals and Care Homes.. We don't know how many people have done so in Banks, shops and walking down the street or talking to our neighbours, friends and family members. The Vast majority of the population are not infected and pose no risk to others. The risk of catching the Virus overall is probably very small. on the other hand:- Approximately 38.4% of men and women will be diagnosed with Cancer at some point during their lifetimes (based on 2013?2015 data). Leaving your home and going for a cycle ride or crossing the road you are 'Probably' ?? more likely to get run over and seriously injured than catching The Virus. What can We do ...? We simply just cannot go on and on living in isolation.. This Virus is here to stay. We might have to learn to live with it. There may well be NEW viruses that we need to deal with/ live with. Foxy.

Stay At Home... In the UK every year, almost 6,000 people die in home accidents and 2.7million visit their local accident and emergency departments seeking help. ... People who spend more of their time at home suffer proportionally more accidental injuries, i.e. the very young and older people. Foxy

It is just possible or even probable that Many of us have been exposed to The Virus Have had the Virus and are now immune to the Virus. It's long been said that it is 'Good' for Children to be Exposed to 'Dirt' and 'Germs' These days children seem to live in a Sterile world and do not build up natural immunity. Some experts have suggested that Self Isolation is in itself unhealthy and by doing so our quality of life is diminished. Life is full of taking chances. People take extreme risks in sport and every day life. Without risk life cannot be fulfilled or even becomes worthless. If Lock down goes on and on and people stay at home and do not meet their friends or go out, then they will eventually die of something else before the Virus gets them. The question of catching the virus or being worried about passing it on to others.. Well you should not worry about passing it on as it is down to others to isolate if they are worried about catching it. It comes down to taking risk and getting on with life... or Not taking risk and not living life.. Foxy.

Make North Cross Road a 7 day a week Market
DulwichFox replied to Jakido's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
KK. Ok I chose the ?5.00 bag.. I did not know the price of the small bag.. like I said you could make 8 of the larger bags. You could Probably make 10 - 12 bags of the smaller size. Home made Popcorn is Super easy to make.. You can make it according to your needs. You can add Salt.. Sugar... or Splenda.. Cinnamon .. anything you so wish.. It's fun to experiment... Get the kids involved... MY Popcorn is Not tasteless and I know what is in it .. How much Salt, Sugar, Glucose Syrup. After all many of us are currently stuck at home with a lot of time on our hands.. Foxy ETA... You know as good as I, that Had I said how much I loved the Popcorn from the Market.. You would of lectured me on how easy it was to make delicious Popcorn at home. -
This is all Very Disturbing .. What else is the person responsible for this capable of doing ?

One observation.. I now normally wear a Face Covering.. When approaching other people, they move into the road to avoid me.. On a few occasions I was not wearing a Face covering.. people simply passed me close by with NO attempt to distance themselves.. Why is this ?? DulwichFox -

They could not help and told me to call 111. I got an appointment at a dentist in Penge, They gave me antibiotics as the treatment could not be done until the infection had been treated, The tooth was capped and had to be removed. My face was numb as the dental nerve was damaged. I did not get the feeling back for 3 -4 weeks. Foxy

Yes I own a house in East Dulwich, not quite a Million Pounds But I worked for 40+ years to enable me to pay for it. I mostly travelled to work everyday From 16 - 56 by Public Transport, and paid through the nose for the privilege. Also paying for Public Transport in the evenings and Weekends. Yes before the Virus, there were many people at the Bus Stop During Rush Hour. . and standing room only. The Bus used to empty out at East Dulwich and Denmark Hill Stations. I think I have earned my Freedom Pass that I use 2 -3 times a week. The Buses and occasional trains are empty when I use them. The only time I used my Pass in Rush Hour was for early Hospital Appointments. DulwichFox -

What was it like.. ?? How far back do want to go ?? 2010..? 2000..? 1990..? 1980.. ? I moved from Peckham to East Dulwich in 1980.. Top of Dunstans Rd. Opposite Dawson Heights. North Cross Rd was virtually deserted at that time, although there was a Curry House Golden Tandoori run by a guy called Farooq which was one of the very few places open on a Sunday afternoon. His mother used to serve on tables.. Not much open on Lordship Lane at the time. No Parking problems anywhere in East Dulwich / Dulwich. In the evening walking down Lordship Lane after 9.00 pm you would not see many people about. and you would not see many cars.. I moved down to Ulverscroft in 1996. I drove a Renault Master Low loader which I used for my Business on Uplands road. A large van which I had no problems finding a parking space on my road or outside my shop.(1993) In those days there were no parking problems in the area. You could easily park in Dulwich Park and Drive through the Park. I changed from the van to a small Ford Escort in 1997 and parking was still relatively easy although as Lordship Lane developed parking became harder with all the 'Tourists' to local Pubs and Restaurants increased. BUT then the Market opened. Parking became impossible. Having to park 2 streets away and carry shopping in 2-3 trips. Then when a space become available racing round to recover my car only to find the space gone when I returned. Then driving round an round till another space become available. Loads of other cars .. vans doing the same. The market has done so much damage to the area with increase in traffic. We do not need this 7 days a week. Nightmare. Foxy -
