All the accidents have been further up between Police Station and the Plough Which I believe is still 30 MPH Just Southwark Council doing what it does best.. Does any of them even know where Lordship Lane is ?? Wasting money where it is not needed Looking at their little maps on their little screens in their Air-conned offices. DulwichFox

They may come from different budgets.. BUT they get most of their money from Council Tax Payers. They need to Prioritise their Budgets.... and put the money into the ones that benefit the community most. Foxy.

  14. Hi jane1. I think 25 is a large group.. It would be difficult for any place to deliver that many meals at the same time. The Curry Club goes out every month to different Curry restaurants. We go out as a Group of 10-12. Some places find this difficult. A group of 25, some food may arrive cold. Dulwichfox

  17. easytiger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > More and more coffee shops opening in the area, > surely a positive thing? WHY. ??? I have seen many posts on EDF with people asking where they can buy certain items locally. Do not see many posts asking where someone can buy a cup of coffee. Reached Saturation Point. DulwichFox.
  18. TWO Ryedale farms received a royal seal of approval following a visit to the area by Prince Charles yesterday. http://www.gazetteherald.co.uk/resources/images/153191.jpg?type=articleLandscape The royal patron of the Mutton Renaissance Campaign toured Grange Farm in Levisham, near Pickering, and spoke with Tim Wilson, and his staff who run the Ginger Pig enterprise, which rears, butchers and sells meat through a number of traditional shops in London and the local area. Related Article:- http://www.gazetteherald.co.uk/news/1987126.on_the_farm_with_hrh/ Back in 2007 when I was working in the area, I purchased a 6-7oz Rib-Eye from The Ginger Pig in Borough Market. Was about ?8.00 I seem to remember. Foxy

  20. Just been on BBC News Peckham is being Gentrified.. It is the place to be and be seen. Ahem.. Chokes on water. House prices are Rising. Estate Agents have people on their books who want to move there. Soon Places like the so called 'Bellenden Village' will be dis-associating themselves from East Dulwich. The Gowlet will be back in Peckham. NOT East Dulwich. People living in Parts of E.D. will claim to live in Peckham. Believe me, they will. Foxy

  22. Tim Berners-Lee It was August 6, 1991, at a CERN facility in the Swiss Alps, when 36-year-old physicist Tim Berners-Lee published the first-ever website. It was, not surprisingly, a pretty basic one ? according to CERN: This is the First Ever Web Page. Not very exciting. http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html Full Article can be found here. http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2011/08/world-wide-web-20-years/ DulwichFox
  23. If you live in E.D. and like Waitrose.. You can go to Brixton (when it arrives there) Or, if you are feeling VERY adventurous, you can go to Beckenham (where you can park and do a full shop) Ask your mum if that would be ok. Or if you are all Grown-up, then try it all by yourself. DulwichFox
