I'm not sure the O.P. was referring to Banning certain types from the Forum. More about things to Ban in general. I am Not a smoker but find Vaping more offensive than smoking .. even outside, where Vapers insist on creating the largest Plume of Vapour they can and blow it indiscriminately in any direction with no consideration for others. Grrrrrh

Yes .. I have read the book.. 1984 .. and Animal Farm (at School) 1984 about people living in a Dystopia Animal Farm is about the 'Birth' of a Dystopia and how it comes about. There is NOTHING Original that can be said or written about that is 'Non Google-able' Made that word up.. Did not need to Google 'Science Fiction' For Fox Sake

The Book 1984 is classed as Science Fiction in the sense that.. ... it Showed what effect New Technologies could have on society and humanity.

I received confirmation of my Ticket on 27/09/19 and told to contact them if I have not got them 48 hours before the event. Not Holding breath but not too worried if I do not get to go... P'd off about my ?5.00 or was it ?10.00 donation Don't even remember what it was for. Foxy -
Do not be fooled by the term Free Range.. This Hut contains 16,000 'Free Range' Chickens Up to 16,000 hens crammed into a shed, and many NEVER see daylight. But believe it or not, THESE are free-range chickens There is a door to the outside so they are Free Range. Full article https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2508173/16-000-free-range-chickens-crammed-shed-NEVER-daylight.html Chickens like these sold as 'Free Range' are twice, three times the price of other chickens. There is the con. There are Quality Chickens that are bred in better conditions a Bresse Chicken from Borough Market will set you back ?35.00 - ?50.00 DulwichFox

They should be > consistent... That is true but Halal and Kosher are considered as Religious practices and a delicate subject. I have never tasted or eaten Foie Gras and have no desire to do so. I am a meat eater mainly chicken and have to admit there are bad practices where animals for food are concerned. I eat a lot of Curries and am aware of Halal meat. I was Vegetarian for 3 years back in the 70's. I am trying to resume my vegetarianism I eat King Prawn curries but was appalled to find that on Prawn Farms the females have there eye stalks cut out. The reason is that it increases breeding as the females are blind.. Also after seeing recently videos from Peta of baby pigs being abandoned and left to die after their mothers have been slaughtered. I have now stopped buying Bacon. Foxy

New York has Banned the sale of Foie Gras The so called 'Delicacy' produced by intensively Force Feeding Ducks and Geese. Anyone found selling Foie Gras will face a $2,000 fine for EACH infringement. I welcome this ban.. DulwichFox

As a Southwark resident I applied for my FREE ticket to the Fireworks at Southwark Park which I believe may have a Bonfire. I paid a Voluntary ?5.00 donation. That was about 3 - 4 weeks ago. Got a reply saying This is not your ticket. Your ticket will be sent separately in PDF form.. Not recieved my ticket and no further info.. DulwichFox -

I have filled 2 of the large Garden Waste paper sacks. It did take a long time. Now I am on top of things and shred things as I go. I did have 30 + folders of College notes. and Course note books from 40 years in Telecoms. All out of date and no longer relevant and not a security problem. 1,000's of sheets, Took them to the dump and ditched them. They did not want the Binders and threw them in the general waste. They were branded with Telecom Logos. Foxy

Basically, If I'm out buying Vegetables.. Potatoes, Onions , and other Veg. along with anything else i need to buy, I do not want to Lug them all the way from Bellenden Road. Shopping in Sainsbury's The P13 stops outside and stops less that 200 yards from my house. 180 steps in fact.. I do now have a shopping trolley which holds more than I can carry in shopping bags. Therefore a good Greengrocer on Lordship Lane would be greatly appreciated. Foxy..

I shred all my secure paper. I put it all in one of those Large paper garden waste sacks and put it in the BLUE Bin. Else I give it to the bin person who throws it in the back of the truck. My shredder is small but does a cross cut into tiny pieces.impossible to read.. Fellowes P400c-2 I've had it for years. Doesn't take up too much space. Foxy
