Stay South of the River.. Bluewater is easy to get to on the A2 Traffic on the A13 is dreadful with so many Speed restrictions. 30 MPH - 40 MPH - 30 MPH - 60 - MPH 50 MPH Speed cameras every 300 yards. Its a nightmare. Kent is nicer than That part of Essex. IMHO of course. Foxy

I would think probably not. It looks to me that the lay-by might be there to allow cars to pass. Its very narrow. As you say there IS a NO Parking at any time sign. Albeit very small.

Our local police team - Goose Green ward

Because of my concerns about Crime in the area I attended the Recent Goose Green ward Safer Neighbourhood Team meeting at the Picture House last Friday, The team consists of PC Tibor Fodor, PC Olivia Broughton and PCSO Teresa Kent. Also in attendace was Former Ward Councillor, now Community Activist Robin Cruickshank who recognised me as a local campaigner from the Silvester road post office sorting office protest. I exchanged contact details with PC Fodor (Peckham Police) and will be kept up tp date from his office by e-mail. We discussed in some detail Burglary, shop lifting, increasing engagment and the increase in Drug Dealing in the area. I have been invited to attend further meetings and to encourage more residents to come along through the EDF I believe the next meeting will be on 6th November and a venue is yet to be decided. The last meeting at the Picture house was outside and as it got dark there was no working lighting and it got cold. It would be good to see more local residents at the next meeting. I was the only non-official resident attending. One of the items discussed not on the agenda was Theft from Bins and the risk Identity theft Please do come along. Your views and concerns will be noted. DulwichFox -

Why should I move away from here for the likes of people like you. I'm well known on our street and popular with many of the Neighbours. I like living here and will stay in East Dulwich in this house till i die. Its a pity you are too high and mighty to actually talk to any of our Neighbours Sue, I'm Sorry but you are known on our road as That Funny (Nutty) woman who doesn't speak to anybody. People comment on how you bow your head shy away and avoid eye contact. They do also comment on how nice and pleasant Nygel your other half is. He IS a nice social person. I've said my piece and I am not going to get into any further dialect on the matter in this thread. -

The only time you will see Police Officers on the street are at Football Matches and Demos when there are Hundreds of them. No Police Officer is going to walk our local streets on their own. -

I am not taking advantage of this situation to point score. I'm trying to say just how serious a situation we have in the area. Talking to people in the area... in the street... shops and pubs (and I do a lot of that) there is a lot more of this going that ever gets reported. Maybe not stabbings but certainly Street Robberies, Shop Lifting, Car Break-ins, Car and Motorbike Theft, Bicycle Theft, Burglaries.... This may be going on elsewhere but I am concerned about MY area. It is up to people elsewhere to sort out their area where they live. The problem here in East Dulwich and Peckham is the Denial that a problem exists and how nice and safe the area is. It is NOT safe. and do not tell me to get a grip. Talk to people, Talk to your neighbours, talk to shopkeepers.. Find out what is happening in the area. One of my elderly neighbours was turned over and robbed in the Aylsham Centre Peckham a month or so ago. This was by a gang of 'professional' known criminals from Eastern Europe acting in pairs. I-In broad daylight. Some of my elderly neighbours are afraid to go out especially at night. There are no Police around on foot. They are all driving around in Fast Cars. DulwichFox

It's NOT safe Fox ETA:- I hope the person who was attacted is Ok.

Hitler wanted a united Europe under HIS Command. He basically invented th E.U. but was defeated. The E.U. was formed in an attempt to prevent conflict between its members from ever happening again. Thats what we were all told. It was more of a financial set up for which the U.K. were not really part off. The member countries adopted the Euro as their currency. The UK kept the Pound. Why do you think Brussels allowed us to do that ?? It meant we were Never really part of the E.U. in the Financial sector. and were subject to an exchange rate. That's a big area were The UK lost out and have continued to do so. Fox

Its Nonsense. 10 x 1,000's of decent people go to watch football each week. Amongst them Will be Racists. Does that mean we should ALL stop going to the match because there will be racist people there. I do not accept Racism and Xenophobia and will confront such people. DulwichFox. ETA. It is worth noting that Many openly Racist types express the wish to Remain. Are you suggesting that the majority of the 17 million people that voted to leave are racist. ? IN or OUT of the E.U. most decent do not want racist people in our society.
