I believe it is YOU that has problems with immigration. with your above statement. I am not at all concerned about Immigration. African, Jamaican, Turkish, Kurdish, Greek, Indian, Bangladeshi. What ever My reason for leaving the E.U. has Nothing to do with Immigration or Xenophobia.

One thing worth mentioning : The economy of Switzerland is one of the world's most advanced free market economies. Switzerland is a small but wealthy country, which is surprisingly not a member of the EU. Not a lot of people realise that. The UK will prosper once we finally get out. It might take a while after 40 years of Brussels Rule. DulwichFox

There is a difference between making improvements to an area for the benefit of local residents and Gentrification Gentrification is NOT for the local residents. Its about making an area for outsiders to visit. It is a form 'Social Cleansing' -

The Best Chips I have ever had from a proper chippy in Dreamland. I Deejayed in the Dreamland Ballroom around about 1972-1974 Margate is a shite hole now but they are trying to gentrify the place. Good luck with that. I prefer Ramsgate and Broadstairs. -

Not interested in Cinemas. Peckhamplex. Last big film I went to see was Earthquake in The West End 1974. 45 years ago. I went to the Small White Elephant once. About as big as by bedroom. Quite nice. Nice guy working there. Went back again but it had closed down. Seems par for the course. Most of these Pop-Ups are not there for long. I am aware of the area which was at one time known as The Triangle. a Few Places there. Very pricey with Tables set out for couples or groups of 4 - 6. Curry houses seem to be the only places were you see singles eating alone. -

Before Brexit I was all in favour of Turkey joining the E.U. with the possibility of 60,000,000 Turks having the right to work here. I went to college for 3 Years back in 2000- 2002 to learn The Turkish language and planned to move to Turkey. Sadly the Political situation in Turkey changed in 2016. I could not give a toss about your desire to work/ retire in the E.U. By the way. I'm not a prat. I'm just one of the Majority that voted to get out of Europe. DF

I would happily take ?750,000 for my house. Yes. I am sitting in my House. Its the third working day sitting in waiting in for Dulwich Medical Centre to call me about a medical condition that they say requires serious medical attention. DF And I do live my life. I go out EVERY night eating or drinking. I have done more or less for the last 50 years. I stay in 2 or 3 nights a month. -

The Gowlett is part of Peckham even if they think its in East Dulwich. What do you mean. Get a Grip. ? Do you walk around (On you own) late at night in Peckham ?? Do You ? Have you been Mugged and knocked unconscious. ? Have you ? Get a grip ??? I supposed anyone out and about 'Pissed up' is going to be totally oblivious to any danger. Fox -

It has a thriving > night time economy, Random crime can happen > anywhere. Try leaving Lordship Lane occasionally. > > . I walk down Rye Lane frequently during the day. Its a Shite Hole. the place is derelict. I would really like to know where all these marvellous Bars and Restaurants are ? Are you referring to McDonalds, KFC, of one of the other Fried Chicken places. ? Plenty of those. There is no evidence of these places during the day. Certainly no Bars/Pubs open during the day. Perhaps they are hidden behind all the Graffiti covered shutters. No Indian Restaurant apart from Ganapati ?? If you like sharing a bench with 6 - 8 other people No Chinese , Italian , French. There is a reasonable Turkish that does not sell alcohol BYO I do not see the point of going to Peckham if you live in East Dulwich. -
We were supposed to of left the E.U. at the end of March. How much longer of an extension are you suggesting. We have been in the E.U. for 40 years. When we joined there were 12 ? countries. It was an Elitist clique. It has grown too large. It no longer works. It's time to get out and regain control of our own laws, rules and finances. We ARE getting out. We ARE leaving. October 31st. People need to get over it. If you do not like it, go and live in The E.U. If they will have you. In 10 years time we will be looking back and wondering why it took so long to get out. DulwichFox

Rye Lane is a No-Go zone after dark. What do you expect. I would not dream of walking around that area on my own at night. Its why even young kids feel the need to carry knives. -
I find Vaping more offensive. Most smokers inhale their smoke. Vapers insist on creating clouds of billowing fumes.

My pet hate is the use of Pro-active What does it actually mean ? In my view it means Acting with preconceived ideas. That are usually wrong. In other words. Jumping the Gun. -
It will go out of fashion before it gets outlawed. The Government will never outlaw smoking. It brings in too much revenue in Taxation. The Government might also refuse to treat smokers on The NHS for Smoking related illness. DulwichFox.

Why can't they use cotton net bags? > > And I bought some apricots in there yesterday > which had three separate bits of packaging. > > I will write to them about it when I get a moment. > It really annoys me, GRRRR :( Sue are you not aware of the Cotton Trade ?? Cotton uses immense quantities of water It takes 10,000 liters of water to produce 1 kilo of cotton, meaning it takes about 2,700 liters to make 1 cotton t-shirt. When you buy clothing you therefore ?use? water from wherever the cotton was produced. Devastating consequences Have you heard about the Aral Sea? Once the 4th largest lake in the world, but now virtually gone - mainly because of cotton cultivation. It has been called one of the planet's worst environmental disasters by the UN. You can see for yourself in the video below. Have a read. It gets worse. Deadly dust Instead of the lake, 43 million tons of pesticide-laden dust is blown into the air every year. The Aral Sea region suffers from the highest rates of throat cancer in the world - representing 80 percent of the cases of cancer. http://www.theworldcounts.com/counters/cotton_environmental_impacts/environmental_issues_with_cotton Foxy -
