  2. There are too many Horses in The Grand National. 2018 40 horses. In the interest of safety, maybe the maximum number of horses in any race should be limited to 8 horses. A total of 82 horses have died during the actual Grand National race. Since 2000 11 have passed away during the event. Since the start of 2018, 43 horses have passed away on race courses across the country. Sport of Kings. ? No. I don't think so. DulwichFox

  6. I had no idea what ' Filtered Permeability ' is so I Googled it. Filtered (spatial and transport planning) Permeability or connectivity describes the extent to which urban forms permit (or restrict) movement of people or vehicles in different directions. The terms are often used interchangeably, although differentiated definitions also exist Hope that helps
  7. I use Smile Dentist.. on North Cross Road. For an Hygienist appointment you have to pay ?50.00 up front. Not refundable. DulwichFox
  8. Try Freeview Channel 231 BBC News
  9. Something needs to be done. These companies need to be fined for their slow progress. ?5,000 - ?10,000 per day The work would be done much quicker if they were fined.

This was an e-mail addressed to me and says I have to pay ?160 by 29/03/18 This is not a ?3 pa increase. It was FREE when I joined up and have an Everyone Active Card From Southwark. I have a friend Living in East Dulwich over 60 (65) and I know they have to pay to swim. You don't get anything for Free these days. Foxy Sounds like you get a Free Trial for a couple of months.
  11. I joined Dulwich Leisure Centre. Crystal Palace rd. a couple of months ago for over 60's Free swim. It was FREE to join and I also had access to the Gym. I haven't used the facility yet bit have just received an e-mail to renew my annual membership (after 2 months) and requesting I pay ?160 Thought the FREE swim was to good to be true. DulwicFox

  15. If you are having trouble with your BT Hub, it could be caused by other devices like Wireless Phones. Make sure any such devices are not near your BT Hub Router. Also, where possible, connect your PC to the Hub with a cable. This will also improve your Download/Upload speed. DulwichFox
  16. Well when it comes down to empty shelves in the Co-Op being a major talking point, its hardly surprising things have taken a turn. East Dulwich isn't really that exciting. Its just like any other place, only different.
  17. Some rough sleepers seemed to of settled in. Couple of Double mattresses with bedding in the arches. If they really posh it up, it would not be in keeping with the rest of Rye Lane.
  18. 4. Can I sell my shares? Community shares are not transferable and there is no open market for them. Members can withdraw their shares by giving three months? notice to the Management Committee and withdrawal will be subject to the Committee?s approval. The total that may be withdrawn in any financial year is limited to 10% of the total value of all shares, in order to stabilise working capital. Shares may only be withdrawn at their original value (i.e. ?100 each) and any surpluses are invested for the benefit of the community. Really brilliant scheme. No incentive.
  19. One would assume Thames will be using remote Water Pressure Monitoring. This simple system would flag up (Alarm) any drop in pressure caused by any leak and give a good indication where the leak is. Thames should be aware of any problem before it was evident to the public.
  20. Not holding my breath.
  21. I would not worry too much about the Fat content of Bacon. The far more serious concern is the Salt / Sodium content.. Bacon has virtually no Nutritional value . Highly processed. What makes Bacon Sandwiches worse is that the Best Bacon sarnies are ones on Plain White Bread.
  22. B&Q sell Smokeless Coal BUT also sell coal that is prohibited in smokeless zones. Clearly marked on the packaging.
  23. My neighbour had their BMW steering wheel stolen 2-3 weeks back.
