shocking driving in East Dulwich
DulwichFox replied to NewWave's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Cars pulling out of side streets is a product of the 20 MPH speed limit. More drivers are assuming they have more time and do not want to wait for those sticking to the 20 MPH limit to pass by. Also, more Pedestrians are now chancing it and running across the road in front of cars. DulwichFox -
Thanks for the reply Joe. Tend to agree with what you are saying. DulwichFox

Teresa May as a woman, doing a Margaret Thatcher and getting tough with Russia at a time when Russia's unstable leader Vladimir Putin is boasting about his development of nuclear weapons 'invulnerable' to US missile defence, is Madness. The assignation of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in June 1914 is attributed to the cause of World War One. Russia is in a current Financial Crisis. World leaders can result to War in such situations. Could the recent incident with the chemical attack in Salisbury spark a situation which could escalate to War with Russia.?

Why all the recommendations for Soho , Piccadilly and Mayfair.. What has happened to all the loyal ambassadors to Local businesses in East Dulwich. I may well be wrong, but got the impression that the Original Poster Mary123 might be looking for somewhere local DulwichFox

Well when eating out alone I Never have a side dish (or a starter) Usually have just one Poppadum .. do not have chutney.. Often do not have a beer (prefer water with my curry) Bill for typical meal ?14.00 So Not correct.. Even 2 of my full meals cost less than your Tea and Cake and sandwiches. And I take exception to your Snobby 'run of the mill meals at a bog standard local restaurant' remark. Why do you always insist on getting one up on every one else. ?? I see you do not mention Ganapati much these days. I suppose too many ordinary people go there these days.

The Wolsely. Our full Afternoon Tea consists of assorted finger sandwiches, fruit scones, a selection of pastries and choice of teas, at ?37.50 per person. Champagne Tea at ?47.50 per person. I think some people must live a very different lifestyle to my self. Fox

No it was on the Trainline app which I have been using for years I always check for times and any cancellations. It also gives prices for Single, Return ans Open return tickets. (Period Returns as they used to be called) You can add any concessionary cards to adjust the price, DulwichFox

Reserving car space with wheelie bins
DulwichFox replied to maritap's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Often after shopping I find I cannot park ANYWHERE on my road not just outside my house. So I park elsewhere outside some one else's house. When a space becomes available, I dash round to my car and drive back to my road and find the space gone. So I drive back to where I was parked to find THAT space no longer available. Perhaps occupied by the person living there. Reserving a space with bins means everyone eventually gets back to being outside or near there own home. DulwichFox -

The others simply could not survive on their own and relied on each other for back-up. They sort of all left at the same time. You missed out Jah Lush the final member of the gang of five.
