The rent for Jaflong with a small flat above was ?45,000 and was due to rise to ?65,000. So The Real Greek did not happen, maybe because as I have been told, the asking price is now more like ?88,000 DulwichFox

I've even seen them cross Lordship Lane. With so many restaurants and discarded Chicken and pizza boxes lying around. It's hardly surprizing. Foxy

Sorry to hear about that. That's why I went to so much trouble to secure my Bay Tree Note the double nuts. takes ages to disassemble.. .. and the planter is also bolted to the decking with 4 Coach Bolts Foxy -
You could not make this up... Had a Tesco Voucher for ?10.00 when you spend ?70.00 or more. Did my shop adding up on my calculator as I went around. working out 2 for one deals. Got to ?78.00 ish At the till my bill was ?68.09 ?1.91 short to claim my ?10.00 So I went to the aisle near the checkout and selected 2 Nut/Seed bars for 2 quid. Claimed my ?10.00. Went back to by car. Thought I would munch on one of the Nut/Seed bars. They were designed for Pets.. Ideal for Hamsters ... Guinea Pigs and wait for it... RATS. Foxy

Well I'm not sure but that seems to be around what is charged. They do a site survey ? The guy put down 6 plastic bags of Bromadiolone. Each bag contains enough poison to fill 2-3 of those plastic trays you get with the domestic kits. They then come back after 10 days and do a clean up and remove any dead rats. So 2 visits needed. When I was a kid, I went up to Crystal Palace Mast because I thought would I be able to go up to the top. I was really disappointed. Foxy

Meat and Fish in the Co-Op is very poor quality, as is their Potatoes and other Vegetables. Much of the produce is marked up as Use by the same day you are buying. A lot of the items are marked as Reduced. I have had to take Fish (Sea Bass) back that was rotten when I opened it even though on that occasion there were still a couple of days left till Use By Date. .. and I would like to add it was out of their fridges and in my fridge with in 15 mins. M&S on the other hand despite being now only marginally more expensive than The Co-Op is far superior Prices in the Co-Op have risen and the quality has declined. There seems to be no management in attendance most of the time. Occasionally the 'Suits' will be floating around with clipboards and staff running around like Blue A*** Flies. The Co-Op should close down. DulwichFox

Have not seen it since Thursday afternoon though bait box I kitchen disturbed Thursday night. Pest control came yesterday and put down 5-6 plastic bags of bait (Supposed to be much stronger than stuff available in B&Q) None of the bait touched over night. I think the little bugger may of escaped Thursday and maybe I could of saved ?150 + VAT (?180) if he had left me a note he was off. Pest control will be back after 10 days to access the situation and remove any dead creatures. Foxy.

Teresa May has failed to get a majority and wasn't even elected in the first place. She needs to resign. DulwichFox

In a couple of hours time, Teresa May will go to Buckingham Palace to seek permission from The Queen to form a Government. Can The Queen refuse her. Has that ever happened ? DulwichFox
-
Teresa May called an Election because she thought she would get a Landslide Victory and strengthen her leadership. That has backfired and she is now less of a Prime Minister than she was before. Sadly there is no one strong enough to gain an overall majority. DulwichFox

Rat now in Kitchen. almost got it to go out to the garden but then decided to go behind my fridge / freezer. Then appeared in kitchen cabinet under sink. I'm fairly sure it's the same creature. We are getting to know each other. But Alas I have now called in Pest Controllers. (I cannot deal with this on my own) They are coming tomorrow morning. Foxy.

Bugger not hiding in any of the places it was last night. Moved out other furniture to check. Definitely had a good look around. (poos) Have moved all the clutter on the floor. I have Hoovered up all the Poos (8 in total) Will just have to wait till this evening and see if he/she returns and look out for fresh poo. I feel it is probably a solitary rat. There is no food laying around for it to eat. Foxy.

That's exactly what I thought. My double patio doors are normally open during the day. I suspect it has wandered in and got itself trapped. Even trying to dislodge it with a metal tube, gentle pushing it along, it was in no hurry to move. Foxy.

No it was a rat. About 7-8 inches long with a 8-9 inch tail. I chased it around till 01.15 this morning when I thought it had run outside, I heard it and found it behind my sofa. I had a powerful torch and it was just staring at me. Then it went behind a cabinet, I poked it with some metal piping and run, very slowly under a TV table. I was kneeling down and the thing just crawled by me. Then back under my sofa. Shining the torch it just stared back at me. Then it run under my armchair. I arranged the sofa and armchair in a 'V' formation pointing at the door. It run from under the armchair and disappeared. I thought it had run outside. 2 hours I was chasing it. Came down this morning and one of the bait boxes I placed in the fireplace had been used. It was Rat bait and I think would be too big fir a mouse to eat. Think I need professional advice. Foxy
