Just seen a large rat in my living room. It run off but just disappeared. Found dropping right next to my armchair where I sit watching TV. Dropping is over an inch long and 3/8ths of an inch wide, so looks like a big bugger. Have had mice in the past but this is a different story altogether. Left front door open so it may of escaped but probably not. Have put down Rat Poison just to see if any bait taken over night. Bait too big for a mouse to handle. Anyone got a number for pest controllers you may of used. ? Any advice much appreciated Foxy

Diane Abbott is out for an indefinite period. Sounds pretty permanent to me. Dulwichfox

Never heard of her until the Silvester Road issue. Seems an approachable pleasant person. I would vote for her on a Local basis but despite being a Labour supporter all my life and a former paid up member of the Dulwich branch of the Labour Party, I cannot bring myself to vote for Labour with Jeromy Corbyn at the helm. Corbyn is a conceited , self opinionated arse who refuses to listen to the views of others. I would think he must be a very difficult person to work with. DulwichFox

London Bridge incident - confirmed as terrorism
DulwichFox replied to Jules-and-Boo's topic in The Lounge
Breaking News. Evidently, one of the London attackers who was known to Police worked for London Underground (last year) He was trained in Kensington but also worked in Westminster. He was sacked in October for not turning up for work. He also appeared in an Extremism Documentary. His views were known to the authorities but he still was not thought to impose a threat. #Incredible. DulwichFox -
Someone selling dishcloths etc coming round

I don't think these people are working independently. Their baskets are identical. The people are probably genuine, working for some 'Fagin' type character who is exploiting them. The produce is poor quality which could be found in pound shops and the like. Fox -

Another embarrassing interview when Corbyn failed to come up with the cost of Child Care. One of Labour's prime Manifesto Policies Every time he is asked a question he reaches nervously for his little Red Book #Man is Joke DulwichFox

Yes. That's what I plan to do. Pot size restricted to size of planter but I'll give a go. Also give it a feed with edible plant feeder Many Thanks Fox

Potatoes can be 80% water. What do people expect them to taste like? Most of the flavour is in the skins. The bit most people throw away. Jerseys just need a rinse. Do not peel them. Foxy

My small potted Bay Tree has started to look very Sad. The leave are turning brown and are crispy dry but not falling off the tree. There appears to be new leave coming but can I still use the brown ones in cooking ? I have been watering the plant but not over watering. How can I rescue my Bay Tree which I bought last year. Should I remove the brown leaves. Will that allow the new leaves to grow. They are very tiny at the moment. Any help much appreciated. My tree was quite expensive. ?45.00 DulwichFox

The problem with Corbyn for me is he has an ideology I had myself to some extent 30-35 years ago. Its like he has been in a coma for 30 odd years and has just woke up and is carrying on from where he left off. #Comrades. Foxy

I'm in the pub every night. (Occasionally on a Sunday.) You will not catch me drinking Shandy. You may well see me on a hot day outside the EDT with a Lime & Soda enjoying the sun and watching the World go by. I'm too busy during the day since I retired to sit in the pub all day. I do a lot of striding out.. 8,000 + steps most days. Often pass the C&G but don't get drawn in. Even when they are open. Not much World goes by sitting outside there. #Dull Foxy

Used this pub back in the 70's about 1/2 dozen times when I lived in Peckham. Been once or twice in the 37 years I have lived in East Dulwich. Last time in 2008 when I had visitors. Haven't missed it over last couple of years. Don't drink during the day. Don't travel far at night. Unlikely to start using it now. Even if they were giving the beer away. DulwichFox
