  1. I was told they had 3 outlets which all closed down on the same day. Have a look here.. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1798187 Could this be the answer Foxy
  2. Basically The Fox is a dog.. Some dogs have no problems digesting milk and dairy products. Yet others experience acute intestinal distress ? like gas, diarrhea or vomiting. Abandoned Baby foxes can be bottle fed with a proprietary puppy milk such as Lactol (but not cow's milk, which has the wrong balance of fats. Not sure if adult foxes drink milk. Do dog owners give their dogs milk. ??? DulwichFox

  4. My original Post.. Did not mention The Dog Father.. so does not suggest THEY were charging ?7.50 for a hot dog. Whether someone was charging ?7.50 or whatever was suggesting that because it is expensive does not make it sophisticated. Folk are just too literal on here.. Like .. Went down the lane yesterday... there were millions of people down there. Does not really mean there were millions of people.. Anyway.. with regards to Xoco grill.. 23rd March has been given to me as the opening date with new management. But please don't shoot the messenger if it don't open on that date. Foxy
  5. Most people do not have a clue what they are actually paying for stuff.. Not a Scooby.. I seem to remember the basic Dog was around ?4.50 - ?5.00 but with extras the price goes up. DF
  6. Scanning is long winded at tedious.. The main problem is Dust. I have a scanner you can borrow. should that of been 50 - 100 negs. ? Foxy
  7. There is nothing sophisticated about 'Hot Dogs' Any suggestion that there is, is Pretentious. Charging ?7.50 does not alter that. DulwichFox
  8. Sheep fall into 3 food categories .. Lamb is less than a year old (usually four to six months) Hogget is between one and two years old Mutton is over two ? and it?s best eaten at four years Foxy
  9. As I understand it, there is a waiting list.. You cannot just hire a Pitch for a couple of weeks when it suits you to sell off your personal clutter. You need to turn up week in week out or lose your Pitch. Most people seem to have their own Stalls. You just hire the pitch. ?? Was a time when you just turned up on the day. (like a boot sale) Not any more. I believe you need a Licence from Southwark Council. You may need liability insurance.. Do not know if the ?35.00 fee covers this. DulwichFox
  10. The fundamental principal of Street Food is that it is cheap on the go Nosh. The pretentious offerings on North Cross Rd. bears no resemblance to the food offered in other parts of the World. Vietnam.. Malaysia.. This kind of thing.. http://blog.hihostels.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Chiang-Mai-streetfood-585x390.jpg Foxy

It's East Dulwich. How do they all keep > going? Another Indian Restaurant ??? The Xoco place has been historically an Indian Restaurant for decades.. It was the Pistachio Club and Eastern Eye before. Dulwich Tandoori is packed most nights.. as is Tandoori nights. People seem to like the 'Same old Stuff' If the new place was like Ganapati then that would become the 'same old stuff.' Ganapati is nothing special but is a little different and not to everybody's taste. I think sometimes it is nice to travel somewhere else to find something different. Away from East Dulwich. Otherwise E.D becomes like Supermarket with everthing under one roof. Foxy

I'm already back on topic... met the new owner / potential owner this evening. Well not exactly 'Met' I already know the new owner. Have vouched my support.. A little aside. Old Jaflong is still up for sale.. Any takers ? As for Swadesh.. ? No idea.. Foxy

All we need now is a pizza place, cheese > shop and some banners on lampposts and we're set. Possibly 23rd March New ownership.. Indian / Bangladeshi food.. Do not know if it will be licensed. Fox.
  14. There are 4.7 billion people living on Earth. Only 5 or 6 people have expressed any concern About this place closing. Foxy

That trippy drippy hypnotic oil lamp thing in Dulwich Tandoori Has been there for 20 years+ ?? It broke down but was repaired s couple of years back. DulwichFox
  17. Sue Said.. I don't know... I was told something by an EDF poster in the EDT something that was so incredible , I did not believe it. I took it as someone winding me up, expecting me to jump on here and make a prat of myself and possibly libel myself. I took the rumor with a pinch of salt. If it was true, I would of thought it would of been in the press. ??? Foxy
  18. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Fulwich Dox might do ..... > > > "It would seem none of that had anything to do > with why it closed.. > > Doxy" If I were to know why it closed and posted it here.. I would be inundated with posts such as :- Foxy's talking shite again.. (from ???? ) Where's your proof ? (from Sue) and this thread would just take off with abuse.. Anyone deny that. ? Dox

That is enough.. This thresd is about Swadesh closing. DF.

I did not mention Xoco.. Michael Palaeologus did.. and I simply said it had closed.. It is your very self that continues to harp on about why it has closed.. and I do not know the facts of why it has closed.. So I have nothing further to say on the matter.. Appology accepted in advance. Foxy.
  21. This thread is about Swadesh closing .. NOT Xoco Bar and Grill Foxy
  22. I do not know.. I heard the same as what derwentgrove said.. Raided.. Not seen anything in the press.. not confirmed.. I simple do not know ... and I'm not going there.. Sue... Just drop it. Foxy

  24. Well, at least I do not correct anyone who leaves out a full stop or misspells lentokonesuihkuturbiinimoottoriapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas. Fox
