Sorry mate.. It wasn't a gag.. I missintereted the comments on 'I think I'm just tired of the old/standard/rut that's become the 'curry house' way.' as being tired of Curry in general.. ... Cantina food such as Chilli con Carne .. Jacket Potatoes .. Garlic bread.. sprung to mind. There used to be a great Bistro in Forest Hill oposite Walram pl. Perry Vale. 30+ years ago. Did all that kind of thing.. Carafes of Red wine.. was all the thing back then... Bees Knees and all that. Foxy

  10. Walk past ever night.. Looks nice but seems a bit busy and a couple too many tables... If you don't mind listening to everbody elses conversation or others hearing yours ... then Ok I suppose. Not so good for a romantic intimate occassion.. DulwichFox
  11. I'd completely forgot about predictions .. Had a mouth abcess and a tooth removed yesterday. Mind has been on other things. Foxy.

  14. As I understand the situation.. The Quoran does not talk about alcohol... May be wrong. Islamic teachings say that when going to Prayer one must be of clear mind not affected by alcohol or drugs. Selling Alcohol to other Muslims whould therfore be wrong. ? Selling Alcohol to non Muslims would be a different issue and is a matter of interperation of Islamic Teachings... Perhaps our politicians should consider the aspect of 'clear mind not affected by alcohol or drugs..' :) Foxy
  15. Was never an habitual smoker. Could not smoke in my place of work and did not go outside for a cigarette. I did smoke a pipe on occassion and did like a decent Cigar.. in the pub but never outside or at home. Also actually enjoyed Snuff.. All that was 20 years+ ago. snuff more resently, Foxy
  16. Seabag Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Did they opt for 'alcohol free' a while back, or > bring your own? Several years back 4-5 years they opted to not selling alcohol.. I occassionally get a T/A. the food is good. They catogorically refuse to have alcohol on the premises so no BYOB. I have Known the manager for many years and he always remembers my name.. I have spoken to him on the subject. I am sorry if it HAS closed. but do not know how it lasted so long.. Foxy
  17. We have all seen the superb special effects in film. We even see them in TV Adverts. But I still marvel at the Special Effects of 50 years ago. Take a look at the marvelous Special Effects used in Jason and The Argonouts. Amazing Foxy
  18. The restuarant owners need to be told directly at the time of any short commings. I'm sure they were aware of the down falls.. No excuse for over bookings though. Especially in such a small space where there is little chance of reseating people. DulwichFox
