Very strange, but walking home late last night.. Midnight I noticed bits of a 'Scooter' that seemed to of been broken up and strewn along Ulverscroft road at intervals of 30 metres or so.. The engine in one spot with bits of frame.. seat... deposited elsewhere. There was one part that had LED's that were still flashing. Anyone had a bike/ scooter stolen ? DulwichFox

No necessarily.. I saw a TV program last year on Fake Fur. It mwy well be real... Fake fur being sold on UK high streets could actually be real, an undercover investigation by ITV's Good Morning Britain has found. Three leading retailers - including Debenhams - were found to have real fur items in their shops - despite two of them publicly claiming their products are fur-free. Fur trims and pom poms labelled as "100% polyester faux fur" were actually Angora rabbit and raccoon dog. The killing of Angora rabbits is particularly cruel as the fur is plucked from their skin while they are still alive. I did actually look out of my west facing bedroom window at 6.00am this morning to see if it was Snowing.. And there was a large bright Moon 'hanging over the roof of my opposite neighbour' There was also an aircraft on its final descent into Heathrow.... What a brilliant view of the Moon the pilot must have , I thought. I then went back to bed.. ZZzzzzz ZZzzzzz Foxy

Any way you would not want to be trapped in the pub with a foot of snow outside. That would be just MY luck ! Sitting by the fire in the EDT waiting for the snow to ease off.. Would be terrible.. Come on Lou.. I was walking through GG the other day and small kids were having a wail of a time testing out their new Wellies. SPLISH !! SPLASH !! Pure delight. Foxy.

By Diabetic team I mean The Doctors at DMC.. The Diabetic Nurse at DMC who I see twice a year for foot examinations and to get my HBa1c tests done and Cholesterol and enzyme levels checked. ..and the Team at DECS Kings College Hospital where I go each year for Retinal Screening. Most of the people I know with Diabetes who 'Deal with it on their own' are now on Medication or insulin. After 6 years with the care I have received I have managed to avoid that and am no longer concidered Diabetic in the true sense. DF.

Based on 3 pints a day at ?4.00 a pint ... ?12.00 , every time I drink less the rest goes into a tin and at the end of the month goes into an envelope. By cutting down throughout the year by Dec 2016 I had saved ?2,650 Nice to have the readies at the time of year and no need to go to the bank for a while. I have operated this system for the last 6 years.. You might want to operate the same system to give up smoking and see how much you can save. Foxy

I did Dry Jan in 2016.. and stuck to it. No alcohol for a whole month... I did not feel any benefit what so ever and in fact my Blood Sugar levels went sky high.. When I drink at night 2 pints and a single shot Drambuie or similar my B.S. levels next morning are 4.8 - 5.4 mml/M With no alcohol my B.S. levels are 6.6 - 7.8mml/L My diabetic team are very pleased with my control of my diabetes. Which I believe is due to my alcohol consumption. So I have a dilemma.. ? Foxy

Will then keep the pavement clear for pedestrians.. Anyone going to the shops would walk on the pavement. If i'm going to LLoyds to get something, I am not going to walk past it by walking in the road. DulwichFox

ED Barber - homophobia? racism? and a bad haircut
DulwichFox replied to Jim1234's topic in The Lounge
Went to Mems Barbers today.. There were two barbers working today... There was no loud conversation between them but much polite conversation between the barbers and their customers. My barber was new. (been there 3 weeks) but I believe he had come from one of their other 3 shops. He was from Algeria and a very pleasant soft spoken fella. He spent 20-25 mins on my hair with close attention to detail. I got a great haircut to my requirements and was charged ?8.00. Usual cost for a scissor cut ?14.00. But I'm of that certain age. Gave him a Tenner and he was happy.. Maybe there have been changes (due to complaints) ??? but I can only give praise to this place. Nice comfortable leather sofas. TV with sound turned down/off. Would personally recommend Mems.. DulwichFox -

dog locked out and distressed
DulwichFox replied to moondancer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Have spoken with my neighbour.. He went to work not knowing a visitor staying with him had let the dog out in the garden earlier. The visitor forgot about the dog. The dog is a Border Terrier similar to the pic. below. Dog is fine. (Currently sleeping by the radiator.) Was just missing some attention. I mentioned that there had been some concern on EDF. He was upset that people might think he had been cruel. and said he would NEVER be cruel to his dog. DulwichFox -
