Let's spare a thought for those people around the World less fortunate than ourselves. To the People whose lives have been affected by War. To those who are sick, especially all the little children who will be spending Christmas in Hospital. Happy Christmas from DulwichFox Let us all hope the World will become a more peaceful place in 2017. Foxy

You mentioned Lakeland bringing you joy. Well having spent every sat morning watching James Martin chopping up vegetables with a blunt ended knife I wanted to know what it was called and where I could buy one. Well that type of knife is called a Nikiri ( Japanese Veg. Knife) and they are very expensive. But I found one at Lakeland which was in my price range. That's it.. Sorry you and Alan Medic find it worrying.. I consider myself a reasonable cook and it's nice to have good kitchen eqipment I think you now qualify as my greatest critic.. Questioning every post I put up. It's getting tiresome. DF.

I prefer to bag my own stuff.. Then I put the heavy stuff at the bottom (Potatoes) and the light stuff on top (Bread) I separate toiletries from food stuff. Keeping all frozen stuff together to help keep it frozen.. If you let the packers do it.. It all gets mixed up.. *Interesting article on BBC on (Rip-off Britain..) Re reusing bags results in bacteria building up in bags and cross contamination. **(Awaits usual request to reveal my source and give proof and evidence..) -

I have a smaller blue wheelie bin that might suit your needs.. Call Southwark and they should deliver one for you. Foxy

I like Lakeland. I use the one in Bluewater. Had been looking for a Japanese Nikiri vegetable knife. Prices were ?180-?270 which was out of my price range.. But found a suitable Knife at Lake land.. http://lakelandcamel.scene7.com/is/image/LakelandCamel/17739_1?$300$ Its a great knife with 67 layers.. VERY sharp.. ?60.99 and I got a ?5 voucher (when spending) ?30.00 in the New Year. Very Happy. Foxy

I think some Cafe owners could be missing out. Much of the stock in the Co-op has a Best Before daet of today. Get along there and look for the REDUCED lable.. 75p loaves for what. 60p ??? DulwichFox -
All part of Labour Southwark's plan to make Recycling as difficult as possible so more people will fly tip and then get Fined... as cameras are set up at known fly tipping sites. Same as they make parking in the area more difficult so more people take a chance and stop for 5-10 mins and then get Fined after being caught by camera cars. Same as they close down Public Toilets and then people who take a break in the street get Fined. DulwichFox

Ok. the buses are busy in the rush hour but during the day a handful of people .. I really can not see any justification for spending many Millions of pounds to tunnel 4-5 miles to carry so few people. It makes no sense. Improving the service from East Dulwich .. Peckham Rye .. Denmark Hill ... Forest Hill would seem a better idea.. DulwichFox -

It sells High grade Dulux Paint. Power tools.. Curtains.. Christmas ornaments lights at ?100+ a pop. So you could easily clock up ?50. So sorry Artfull. You are wrong again. As for conformation from the Bank of England. ? Well they did not produce any new ?50 notes last year. and there is no date for Polymer ?50's to be made. Writing on the wall to me. People I speak to do not like them. But then I feel you just like to have a row. Foxy.

I have seen some Supermarkets limit certain items to prevent this sort of thing from happening. After all I thought the Co-op was supposed to be the 'Peoples' Store.. Marcia, you will get very little joy from people on EDF. Some have Shares in Pubs in and around the area. Some own local businesses. DulwichFox -

There was so much crap not in containers just dumped on the ground. I am not surprised the facility has been removed. It was being abused. DulwichFox
