Dogs being nicked from outside Sainsbury East Dulwich
DulwichFox replied to PeckhamRose's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
PeckhamRose Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Okkkkay so we're back to blaming the victim. It is not a Question of blaming the victim... Leaving your pet tied up outside a shop cruel. Dogs get very distressed when left like that and doing so shows a total disreguard of your pet's welfare. The Dog may appear abandoned.. A child might try and stroke the distressed dog and get bitten. This practise needs to be made illegal and the owner fined.. DulwichFox -

There has been a lot of roadworks outside which I thought may be why they were closed. or looked closed. In darkness and no sign of life inside.. DulwichFox

I walk that way quite often .. Ganapatti advertise a Lunch time (12.00 - 14.30) selection of meals for ?7.50 ish I have looked in with the intention of giving them another bash. But! the place appears to be closed. All in darkness at those times. The T/A seems to be non-functional with a Motor-bike parked inside and a large Trellis table with odd jars of spices and pans. No sign of life. There appears to be no counter / Hatch. Can't work it out. Foxy

Personally I like crisps like Tyrrell's and Kettle Sea Salt.. Don't really like any flavoured crisps.. Altough many many Moons ago there used to be a company who may of been Benson's up in Cumbria that made 'Cheese' not onion crisps which were really nice. Pipers are good.. Walkers are Naff. Golden Wonder refers to the type of potato. Foxy -

If Jaflong is your idea of good food, there's little hope! I wouldn't go to Ganapatti for > Valentine's Day though, in fact we avoid > restaurants altogether and have a nice meal at > home. Why do people go on about Jaflong.. I have used Jaflong more than some others in the past but I have never said it was the best Indian Restaurant. I liked it because it was mainly quiet. Don't use Jaflong old/new much these days since they stopped selling Alcohol. Ok they do BYOB but (Cannot be bothered to lug beer around with me) I rotate which place I use. Tandori Nights being the only one I never use. Don't think I would go any Indian Rest. for a Valentines dinner. As for it being an off day/night. It was a Curry Club night. 8 of us and Ganapatti got plenty of warning we were coming. Not sure what the others thought about the food. It was a couple of years ago, but the Curry Club has not expressed any desire to go back.. DulwichFox DulwichFox

I have eaten at Ganapatti.. Amongst the worst Indian food I have ever had.. Their little Starter selection could easily of been 'IceLand Indian party Selection.' ?2.00 for 16 pieces BOGOF. That sort of thing.. Their rice 'one lump or two' Really taking the P. DulwichFox

Having had time to think about it.... ... 6 Vegetable Spring rolls.. ?2.50 Probably to stop Restuarants / Pubs / buying all the stock and knocking them out at ?6.00 for 2 rolls.. Sort of price you would probably pay in the pub.. Foxy

Went into M&S this Lunchtime.. Bought a few things... Went to the Check-out to pay.. Bing...Bing...Bing...Bin.. Then I was told.. 'Sorry. Wait a minute.. That is a 'Restricted Item !' Was I trying to buy Alcohol..? No.. Was I trying to buy Cigarettes..? No.. Was I trying to buy a Knife..? No.. Was I trying to buy Fireworks..? No.. Was I trying to buy Vegetable Sping Rolls..? YES.. I was trying to buy a pack of 6 Vegetable Sping Rolls.. Well I'm over 21.. even 25.. and seemed to pass all the necessary security scrutiny and now have my Vegetable Spring rolls. DulwichFox

I had a Good hair cut at Mems 3-4 weeks back.. The Guy I had was new to the Dulwich Branch. He was friendly and attentive to my requirements. There was absolutely NO banter between the two barbers working. ..and he charged me (old git) ?8.00. I gave him ?10.00 and he thanked me. I will be going back next time I need a haircut. Some of the other local barbers give a poor cut if you are paying 'Pensioner' rates. I suppose most pensioners do not have much hair.. I have a proper mop.. DulwichFox P.S. You don't get many recommendations from the Fox.. so rest assured it's a genuine one ..

I can still log on to Outlook and send a mail but my in box only has 2 mails in it from 2009. ? Although I see my contacts when I type in the To: box I am confused and need to export/ import to Mailbird. I should be able to make a .CSV file but Mailbird needs a further process to use .CSV I do not have the time today as I'm off to Millwall to see them beat Watford (Hopefully) Foxy

Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't pretend to understand any of the above, > but can't you use Gmail?? I do use Gmail for one of my accounts and my other (Main Account) is btinternet.. Logging in to Google to access gmail is a pain. Windows Live Mail is a mail client that gives access to all mail accounts in one place. I am now trialing Mailbird but have lost all my contacts and saved mails with WLM going down. Foxy
