I'd say avoid roads with carparks, carwashes, estates, those clogged with estate agents cars, known for street parties, have businesses backing on to them, have mad ppl as residents (i.e. those always intoxicated, clinically have a few screws loose), have badly behaved noisy children(young and teens)... anything else?

I weren't defending them at all keef me dear just pointing, well just pointing really ;-)

You can get that kind of treatment from a trip to any vets. Our annual trip to the one on Lordship Lane was not the usual - the first two in - we were told our monsters were quite considerably underweight (For their breed and size they quite clearly are not), were cross questioned as to their eating, cleaning and playing habits as if we kept them locked up in a cat basket all the time or weren't looking after them. Quite surprisingly we left wondering where the girl got her qualifications from. The 2nd two in were seen by someone completely different and was much more caring (especially to our old girl). The difference was very noticable and obviously when going back (if we do) we shall ensure we wont be seen by that particular vet again. It's a shame we encounter such things but it happens in many places... :(

Where abouts are the majority on this thread travelling from? Back in my day (at risk of sounding like an old moaner - which I'm not) I used to walk to and from Kingsdale...

must we really use the word "hate"? not like many of us are personal friends of these "big" ppl up there. I really do fail to understand the usage of the word when discussing such topics *says no more*

I'm with the whole leaving clothes at work (I do it all the time - mostly coz of my absentmindedness you must understand) or a travel iron (that you can leave at work). Avoid leaving clothes in damp or musty areas tho... wiv that style ya got going like... ;-)
