  1. Will someone not make an offer? I would like to be outta there by the end of the month... it's all going quite slow! Seriously, just think what you could buy with that kind of money just a little further afield in areas such as Sydenham...::o ;-)
  2. Often it takes around 2-3 months for returned mail to be presented at our counter... quite remarkable really. A lot of the time our post just goes missing. There must be a black hole or something at the sorting office. I recently contacted Royal Mail after a rather important letter was kindly returned from someone with a kind heart - it had arrived through their letter box instead of the person I had intended. My main concern was that the mistake was really ridiculous where a letter intended for a London address ended up in Liverpool at an address that was in no way similar. I sent them all the required information as requested (original envelope with frank mark, address intended, place of posting etc) along with a quite indepth written document voicing my concerns over data security, blaming computers blah blah blah and after a few weeks wait finally received a reply advising me the "manager" of the complaints department had ensured she had notified the sorting office concerned to make sure this mistake wouldnt happen again. My points were completely dismissed... such a shame *sighs*

Maybe I should get you a dictionary for ya bday T buddy ol' mate... I'm sure Baroque is spelt with a Q not a G. If it isn't there's a whole world out there that have been misguided all these years ;-)
  4. It would be a boring world if we all agreed with each other... were nice to each other... gave in to others... paid enough attention to others... need I go on? :)-D
  5. Twas prob what sparked my first response to this thread...
  6. Thank goodness they're all day time shots! Would hate to think I'd been caught on camera on a merry night out :-$ Or anyone else for that matter... ooo the thought...
  7. Kinda reminds me of that programme on telly the other night... "would you help a stranger"... would u?
  8. People that you love to bits continuously dripping their pint on your foot/knee/bag/elbow whilst insisting it's the wonky floor!
  9. Ah ha so THAT's where all the wool is coming from! I knew there was a logical explanation for the odd bits of wool I've seen floating around ED lately!
  10. Two wrongs do not make a right despite what you may have been told or led to believe by others Andystar :-|
  11. was that from outside the window? I wouldnt be too surprised but still that not quite the same as a squashed grape in in ED Sainsbury's now is it? ;-) Dramatic and possibly traumatic I agree but not the same :p
  12. 8 is a little young to start drinking aint it? :p
  13. This is gonna sound really bad but you had to be there to understand my frustration... ...homeless people who claim not to understand english yet know exactly what to demand when the police respond to a call out. demanding reference numbers, telephone numbers of the officers (including the inspector) and start preaching about human rights... no english eh? AND then have the check to come back later after officers have politely moved 'em on! (6)
  14. You could try... ED Backgammon ;-)
  15. a little round, vacant, and smiling a lot? no? hehe *w8s patiently for a telling off*
  16. You like to live in a "nice, clean and friendly" environment yet, knowing the response you were likely to get still insisted on having it out with a "thuggish" dog owner? Is that not provoking an unpleasant environment and going against what you are aiming for? I assume you didn't just stand there saying nothing in reply to the verbal "abuse"? I agree dog owners should be responsible for the animals mess and good for you for approaching a wrong doer but sometimes such actions can make a situation worse - as you described with the response you had received. I wouldn't agree with the attitude that people such as this think it's acceptable to allow dog fouling but more a case of they can't be bothered to clear up the mess. You mention prosecution? Of what kind would you think was acceptable? What really did you think the police would do when you called them? They weren't there to witness the scene. If they had have been what would the chances have been for getting a telling off yourself for creating a scene. I appreciate your point here being if we let people off for the smaller crimes... stand up against those that openly do wrong... the move to stop crime... make an example... blah blah blah But really... people will still get away with it and I'm not too sure you yourself (I mean no offense here) practise what you preach - "disregard to good behaviour" of which you were "incensed" to approach someone you didn't know, that you described as "thuggish", not knowing what the end result would have been. What would have happened if the "thug" had set his dog on you? Or pulled a knife/weapon? Did you think before acting? No I'm not suggesting nothing should have been done but you could have put yourself and others at risk too. Social responsibility...
  17. Could break ya neck if you don't occasionally check out the floor space around you what with delightful youngsters rummaging through shelves and chucking the contents on the floor... the death of a grape is sooo dramatic I tell ya!
  18. If they "accidentally" over paid you at some point or you owe them money (for an advance of any sort) they can take the money back although that should be clearly indicated on your payslip. Just call the HR/finance department and get them to explain. It could be a miscalculation
  19. Unless you have card protection with it in your agreement thingy
  20. Are you saying you "purchased" tickets via this site and you didn't get any tickets in return? Have you tried contacting them? Response? Who exactly are you in dispute with? What were your reasons for going with this ticket issuer? Really people should only buy tickets through the official websites for the concert venue/promoters even tho some of them can be a little disorganised... but at least there's less chance of being stung.
  21. Ah man it was going so well and now I just dont get it... nevermind I'm just a little fick *sighs*
