  1. You'll have no service at all during that time. They'll also advise you to back up your contacts
  2. I second goose green. Wouldn't want to exclude anyone afterall ;-)
  3. There's meant to be a shortage of potatoes this year... lets hope that means less chips too! Gidget get over yourself - if you don't want an answer don't ask a question!
  4. technology has moved on quite considerably where the down time for a fone switch over thingamy should only b a couple of hours altho they do still say it could take up to 24hrs. i have noticed it does also depend where you are when u call them up to do the switch... where the masts r (no doubt there r some thatll disagree to this but its my own experience). u shouldnt b down for too long
  5. How old is the old phone and have you ever upgraded i.e had a new sim?

  8. Today's knocker apparently resembled a 12 yr old claiming to be from ADT... went away rather politely when advised he had two seconds to get off the path before unpleasantries commenced. I say apparently as I didn't see nor answer the knocked door, certainly heard it though! No seriously he was a youngen.
  9. Quite right James much better to have a teeny bit of inconvenience where the traffic was a little more interesting than usual than an explosion.
  10. you would have needed to retune more recently too - some channels have moved around

For f***s sake, they are NOT. I'm telling you they are! ;-) The rubber at the end of your pencil breaking off and shooting across the room mid erase.

  14. Oh come off it you can run in to problems at any time of day whether it's dark or not. If you're concerned about safety you should either find a running buddy or just not go at all and continue to live in a bubble. I get fed up of friends commenting they don't feel safe travelling here and there at such a such a time (grown adults!) especially when, compared to my travelling habits which are incredibly random, it's not particularly late. You should always have your wits about you whether you're running, walking or skipping along a road.
  15. which pub and from whom? Eavsdropping never gives the full facts ;-)

  17. I still have undelivered xmas pressies from last year... you have been warned ;-)
  18. was it stuck in traffic, held up in road works or sent on diversion?
  19. it is only 3 months to go not like it's the beginning of feburary or something!
  20. no I don't think it's the technology... more the actual service provided - a bus not being where it should be ;-)
  21. Altho it does depend where abouts you are to whether apps/tfl txt/the electronic boards work or not. I still get amused with the ghost bus and the one that comes out of nowhere* :) *simple things...
