dm, as a clean living honest citizen i too often thought about calling the plod but on the occasions when i was trying to woo some young student nurse on my way back to hambledon court from the penthouse, it was over-ruled by the obvious benefit of having an establishment on ones doorstep that sold alcohol at 2 in the morning all be it at hideously over inflated prices.

open 24 hrs dm,manys a night i crawled up there totally blotto for 20 b and h and a drunken feast of chocolate, crisps and of course lucozade for the morning. dont know if anyone else remembers the shop that used to be on the corner of st francis road by the bus-stop run by some old jamacian boy,it didnt open to about 10pm,but it was a great place for nipping for a few late night cans and if the face fitted a little bit of blow to send one to sleep.

well at least you wont be able to leave any kids unattended in them.
-
well heres one for you,in firemans alley the working classes leave their children on their own and even worse than that they leave them in a play area, which as we all know are magnets for all sorts of sick perverts, drug dealers and god knows what else

well i personally think they were very responsible parents leaving the door wide open, who knows it could have been a hot day and we all know the dangers of leaving children and animals in locked cars with no ventilation. -

our first cat is a pretty timid creature and when we got our second one as a kitten, the first one basically left the house for 2 weeks coming in only for food, but gradually she started coming back and now i cant get rid of her. by and by they tend to do their own thing, we get the occasional fight at feeding time but otherwise they ignore each other.

tippings a mugs game i personally dont do it and it drives the missus mad but if i am already paying for a service why should i then pay extra on top again i certainly dont feel any better or any worse for not doing it. and another thing i dont buy the big issue or give to charity collections espicially when some old sod starts trying to rub on my conscience by jangling his collection box in my face, i chuck all my old clothes in the bin and as for red nose day and children in need etc, dont get me started.

no word of a lie this one i was bombing down the a2 to folkestone last december to catch the early morning shuttle to france for a bit of xmas shopping, when i almost took out a baby kangaroo sitting in the middle of the carriageway. kent poilce god bless em did actually take me seriously when i rang them up to report it in, we stuck it in the back of the x-trail and handed it over to the plod when thay appeared. they took my details and i got a call from the owners of a wild life place in wingham in kent who had been broken into the previous night and various animals had escaped including half a dozen joeys turned out my little fella had made it about 6 or 7 miles across fields before my bull bars almost decapitated him(knew they,d come in useful one day.anyway back on topic no exotic animals in my gaff except for stag beetles i must be getting 3-4 a day in the back garden and my little pup is torturing each one in the manner of a cat with a mouse. i have looked them up and apparantly they are an endangered species and confined usually to the south and south east.

anyway hows about a bit of on-line fun. as ladygooner is going to the races on monday night and we,re not, how about picking a selection of horses from the same meeting and seeing how we would have faired in a virtual manner. the racecard for windsor will be in any paper on monday pick a horse from each race and then post them up before the meet starts and i will publish the places on tuesday morning 3pts for first 2 for second etc and the person with the most points wins the east dulwich tipster of the month award its also a virtual award by the way but im sure it will carry a lot of prestige among your peers.

if you,re just going for a bit of craic bet on the favourites and you might get a win,if you,re going in the hope of winning a few bob dont bet on the favourites as the profit margin is so small, thats why they,re favourites. instead look out for horses in around the 6/1-12/1 mark and back them as each way and you should get a decent return.mark sure and use different bookies as they will all offer different odds on the same horse. a nice wee bet i always do is a placepot basically you pick a horse from each of the first 6 races and if all your horses are placed you win and it only costs a quid.if you decide to pick a horse on form rather than by a pretty name have a good look at the race card,an individual horse would break down as such - 1 2331-3 aureate h.cecil 7 10.2 m kinnane. the 1 is its place in the race, the 2331-3 is where it has finished in its last 5 races the figures before the dash being last season and the 3 after it this season so the horse finished 3rd in its last race. then you have the horses name and then the name of the owner. the 7 10.2 is firstly the horse is seven years old and its carrying 10.2 in weight and finally the riders name. although not the best indicator of how your horse will do it at least gives you an inkling. hope this helps, have a great time and importantly only bet what you can afford to lose and make sure and pocket your winnings, dont try and reinvest them as the bookie will only get them back again.
