  1. Oh Super AllforNun, here have an air kiss on each cheek. Mwah, Mwah. You know I love you really. I think I may be hormonal. I could start and arguement in a paperbag this morning!
  2. My daughter had her nativity play LAST WEEK! We have already been tortured for several days now. Soon our neighbour Daniel Beddingfield will be busking on our doorstep ... again. You know busking is just a form of begging, he really lowers the tone. I can't abide new money.
  3. And Daniel has the look of a pastry lover of late, it could be enough to stop the punters from ordering pudding! Daniel before his love of pastry = http://www.supermusic.sk/obrazky/6422_0802_daniel_bedingfield_a.jpg Daniel after he discovers the GBK = http://cache.viewimages.com/xc/2724929.jpg?v=1&c=ViewImages&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6150CA31A616EAAF39930FDCFC4C15FBB Daniel Beddingfield the "Carbohydrate King" - I am not saying anything here I have not said to his face you know...
  4. We are off to see Santa this morning and then the tree goes up in the afternoon! Christmas is coming, hurrah. Just four weeks of torture "it is tonight mummy?" until the big day.
  5. Darling AllforNun, no ED is not "going to become a big horrible joke." It is simply super, and fab, and getting better - enhanced I think by this super forum, as it encourages community spirit and lively debate and coversation. I love Dulwich.
  6. Darling Declan, I am just an average working mother! Please remind me about the family of sausage makers... I have a pounding hangover (one glass of wine following a colonic is pure murder). I find it so much fun to dress up and pretend to be someone else - doesn't every girl?
  7. OHMYGOD! There she sits on her birth ball in my living room, ten swollen fingers the shape of cocktail sausages... Just remember, fabulous wealth and stunning good looks is no guarantee of happiness!
  8. OHMYGOD, I almost swallowed my veneers! Michael you are just the most entertaining man! Your dress is terribly Pucci you know. Oh Peckhamgatecrasher - you really keep the most amazing company!
  9. How about this? (although I must admit the wig is a little small - I am naturally blonde you know) http://www.divasthesite.com/images/Diva_Dresses/Jackie_Kennedy_dress.jpg
  10. Oh hurrah! I feel a tad under dressed now. I shall dash off to change...
  11. Hurrah - I shall just pop behind the screen and see if I can find something appropriate to wear. What kind of look did you have in mind for this evening darling?
  12. Curmudgeon - what kind of sad unfamily friendly git are you! "Precious first born" indeed, just because a parent like Grumpydad has a baby to tote around - not everyone in London has willing relatives or staff (like I obviously do) to care for their little ones while they hit the shops. Life does not stop because we have children you know, and attitudes like yours - expecting those of us with children to stay at home, are what cause postnatal depression, isolation and anxiety in new parents. Get over yourself. Winter Green = Victor Meldrew fair.
  13. I think we could do with a really super independent bookshop on Lordship Lane, as inviting and imaginatively presented as Dulwich Books on Croxted Road. The bookshop on the Lane could seriously do with a major overhaul. Another good resource would be a WH Smiths or a Boots, a nice big one, with lots of nice hair products and make-up.
  14. "OHMYGOD"... Drops organic fruit in wastepaper basket and sprays with can of lighter fuel. Sets fire to wastepaper bin with match from small box found in bottom of handbag. Thanks Peckhamgatecrasher profusely. "Shall we pop a bottle of Krug dear heart?"
  15. *Wonders into Quiet room with a large strangely shaped organic pear purchased for ?1.50 from the new shop in the village. Sits behind screen to munch pricey fruit privately - too good to share.* *Loud munching sound to be heard echoing throughout quiet room...*
  16. Ah, but was it an organic pear? Perhaps strangely shaped, covered in mud and infested with green fly? Feel the quality!
  17. I shall be first in there tomorrow morning - as usual!
  18. Oh I say! Anyone fancy a G&T and a game of charades?
  19. Darling Snorky, Many of these new shops do in fact enhance our community. Standing on Lordship Lane about twenty years ago at 8am waiting for the 176 - it was like a ghost town, with boarded up shops galore. Like it or not, it now feels cosmopolitan and upmarket. Some of the brand names we see actually add to that. It is not about moral codes and drowning kittens, Lordship Lane feels young and upmarket now. Wait for a bus and Norwood High Street these days and you will be surrounded by all manner of tatty pound shop emporia and nail bars. I for one think that East Dulwich has improved for the better and I love Nero.

Indeed, how could you think such a thing about darling pregnant Bobby? All she wants us to do is to hand over our personal details...
  21. Have you found Batdog?
  22. How about an enormous new branch of Cafe Nero with parking for those of us with enormous four wheel drive vehicles?
  23. I love Nero's. It only seems like ten minutes ago there was tumble weed blowing down Lordship Lane. We are lucky that the lane has developed as well as it has, it could have been fried chicken shops, nail bars and MacDonalds. Have any of you been to Norwood High Street or that dreadful Tesco on Croxted Road? People have so much to say against the chains and then hyperventilate with excitement if anyone suspects a new branch of M&S food will open up. If people don't like it, no-one is pushing them to go in. As far as I am aware, it is often difficult to find a seat in Nero's, and since they made a pigs ear our of Starbucks in Saino's, it is my most favourite coffee shop in East Dulwich, everyone in there is lovely. The staff of Blue Mountain are like a bunch of ratcatcher's dogs sucking wasps...
  24. Well done Louisa.
  25. Darling Peckhamgatecrasher! Indeed, perhaps Bing could sing us a lovely song! What a day!!! Hurrah!
