Tried ML with a couple of visiting Aussie friends on Friday night - nice burgers and wings, good music and very friendly staff. Loved the beer too - tinned beer may not be every puristbore's cup of elderflower but the ice cold ones we had (in chilled glasses) were bang on for a surprisingly warm October eve. Just wish they'd add a steak option.

Ditto the above really - I've seen violence both in and around grounds, some of it quite stomach churning - don't think I've ever seen anything as polite as a "brawl" though. Certainly not one which was "exciting and nobody got hurt", maybe you're thinking of a John Wayne film? #MalumbuMitty

I think treat them as food additives, so a person looking after clients is a client-stabiliser or customer-emulsifier (E113 or E109) someone who procures new business is a 'permitted profit preservative' (E818) and you can style yourself 100% original, artisan, hand-fondled, organic ingredient (or E001).

When alternative comedy > started, audiences could be rough as hell and only > people with really good material survived... In 88-89 the audience at the (sadly no more) Tunnel Club (The Mitre) were banned from heckling as it had got out of hand. Shame as I remember one 'political' comedian being brought to a halt with the heckle "Just give us a pamphlet and fuck off!" and another Welsh "Poet" being gently escorted offstage by a 6'4" built-like-a-shlthouse-type of guy who put a gentle arm around him amidst the shower of peanut packets, beer-mats and plastic glasses and said kindly "Come on mate, you've had enough". After the ban on heckling the fearful Tunnel Hum came into being. Any Sunday night act that didn't cut it was subjected to first one or two people just humming... then a few more... and more... until the whole venue resounded to a deafening hum and the deflated retreat of the sad act. One of the best acts I saw there was The Ice Man who had a big block of ice that he spent the whole time trying to melt in various ways. Stupid and hilarious.

I think the system he employed today looked good and was a great result considering those still out and the red card error, palace weren't great but slowly things gelling a little, what a shame we let Tomkins go though. Reid was immense, Noble better than of late and even Zaza didn't look total crap. ☺

Another referendum? More populist democracy? Why not open the whole UK Union question up to the whole of the UK? - If they wanted everyone's vote to decide on a Brexit then everyone affected (i.e. every UK citizen) should vote on this too with each individual region/country being able to opt-out. Might end up with a UK of Scotland, Wales and NI with no England! Referendums - I love 'em.

That just paves the way for a full blown HP hostage crisis and ultimately Nutella sanctions...

I shall just wait for Lidl to introduce Mahmeitz (ironic that Brexit may see the further rise and rise of this German high street paradise as more people realise their cheaper own-brand stuff - unlike, say, Tesco's - isn't total crap)... Also Bol noodles are 2 for 1 at Waitrose and far better than Pot... and if young men and women are forced to forego drenching themselves in Lynx/Impulse we'll all breathe easier. In fact ANY reason not to go to Tesco is a good thing.

Yes, I get that crowds will always attend games, I meant that I (and friends who like football and follow a PL team) tend to be more pissed off about the PL break than excited/interested in the England game. A couple of questions that have been doing the rounds in bars - 1. If the strength of the PL is (in some part) responsible for England's malaise what would people prefer (assuming this was the choice)? A strong England or a strong PL (with their team as a part of it natch)? 2. Others who support lower league teams are pissed-off about the decision to allow PL youth teams into the EFL (Checkatrade) Trophy. PL clubs may want their youngsters to get 'real' match experience but it is panned by fans of lower league teams who regard this as their chance to win some silverware. A bit like the Champions League teams who drop down into the Europa cup if they're knocked out, it devalues the achievements of others in the competition. Do the panel think it's a good thing (for the PL and young players)? Or bad for football in general?

I haven't watched an England game for quite a while and I couldn't give two fecks how they do - I used to, I really did. Now it's just a really annoying break in the PL programme.

How long before the blustering twisty bastard is bragging about his 100% International career... "I was set up... I could've taken England all the way... people were out to get me... wouldn't have happened if me name were Allardiccio..."

Shite yes but it's early and the triple bogey of injuries stadium and newcomers will work itself out. Still not worried- though will always loathe the stadium - it is crap for football. Zaza though... and Masuaku...? strange bit of business or are they geniuses in (bloody good) disguise(s)?
