  1. A coffee shop on my doorstep offering pastries made by Newfoundland owning French women seems too good to be true. Any news on Anatolia? It says closed for refurb on the window but not much action within.. A Turkish Meze restaurant like Tas would be fab (unlikely I know).
  2. I spoke to a French woman in the park who was walking a Newfoundland but she was brunette (this is sounding a bit 'Twin Peaks').
  3. I loved Rome. It's a shame there's no third series.
  4. I hope the coffee shop does well. That parade really needs a lift.
  5. I've no problem with the Forest Hill road Co-Op. It's fine for a local store.
  6. My son's only fourteen months old and I've already got school anxiety. In my day all you had to do was pass your eleven plus and go to Grammar School.
  7. A couple years ago you could sell your Clapham home, migrate around the South Circular, buy a similar size house and trouser the education fund.
  8. I think Alleyn's offer a certain number of places for children from less well off homes (but I guess these children are not necessarily from SE22).
  9. Wandsworth does have quite a high proportion of loaded parents.
  10. Saw one in my garden on Sunday.
  11. So all the mums in ED are right wing as well as having an irrational hated of ketchup? Fascinating insight.
  12. Sometimes it's really hard to manoeuvre ones buggy around the streets due to sheer weight of childless pedestrians.
  13. I can't see the attraction of M&S. Co-opertive are good on their organic and fair trade stuff.
  14. Something smells about Lynx(se).
  15. Nothing posted since October 06 and now dragged up again by you along with other posts about muggings etc. Does that tell us something?
  16. Pickwick's Pistachio Fiat 500s are very nice.
  17. Agreed. A crossing by Somerfield would be useful.
  18. I assume Barry's Off Licence be opening earlier now to catch the Oyster trade.
  19. I was in the DIY store on the corner a few months ago and the owners were looking after a Staff puppy which they'd found abandoned. Maybe that came from the same irresponsible people.
  20. I heard that a child was mauled by a dog, that's all I know. I'd like to know more as that's my manor and I have a toddler.
  21. Friern was my childhood Road (now Ryedale).
  22. "I hear this aort of thing doesn't happen in Clapham" Yes it does.
  23. I've had The Eels, Blinking Lights and Other Revelations on for weeks. It's a masterpiece.
  24. Grace and Favour have a lovely line in enamel soap dishes. I've seen the Northcote Road slowly go down the pan and nobody can stop it (the shop keepers have been campaigning for years so I think Linton is a bit slow off the mark). I think Tony's cafe is the last good shop on the street (hopefully he's still there). The problem there is a lot of the people are seriously rich so it's almost turning into an extension of the Kings Road.
  25. They've certainly picked a great bunch of self delusional mentalists this time. There doesn't seem to be a single person with any self awareness. They all give it the big "I am" then can't work a pocket calculator. Excellent telly though.
