A coffee shop on my doorstep offering pastries made by Newfoundland owning French women seems too good to be true. Any news on Anatolia? It says closed for refurb on the window but not much action within.. A Turkish Meze restaurant like Tas would be fab (unlikely I know).
I was in the DIY store on the corner a few months ago and the owners were looking after a Staff puppy which they'd found abandoned. Maybe that came from the same irresponsible people.
Grace and Favour have a lovely line in enamel soap dishes. I've seen the Northcote Road slowly go down the pan and nobody can stop it (the shop keepers have been campaigning for years so I think Linton is a bit slow off the mark). I think Tony's cafe is the last good shop on the street (hopefully he's still there). The problem there is a lot of the people are seriously rich so it's almost turning into an extension of the Kings Road.
They've certainly picked a great bunch of self delusional mentalists this time. There doesn't seem to be a single person with any self awareness. They all give it the big "I am" then can't work a pocket calculator. Excellent telly though.
