  2. I saw a Silver Cross too. I think they might be the 'new thing'. All the people who moan about Bugaboos blocking the pavements aain't seen nothing yet.
  3. Doesn't the new bakery do coffee?
  4. It's a great little place. I think if they had a nice cafe type awning over the front it would look more like a cafe and attract more passing trade (probably expensive). I'm going to get me some of that German breakfast this weekend.
  5. Hopefully it was one of the people who let their dogs foul the pavement at night.

  7. I'm sure either are fine on children. Adults look ridiculous in them.
  8. I drove to Tintagel in about 5 hrs last month. Set off at 5pm on a Sunday with a one stop strategy at Popham on the 303. Nice drive.
  9. Is there a conspiracy to make us all move to leafy Portsmouth?
  10. "But this is the problem, it is not an epidemic. As TedMax has rightly pointed out knife crime levels are no different to last year and yet the media has us currently whipped up into a frenzy over it." Seventeen dead teenagers is pretty bad, whether it's the same as last year or not.
  11. I'm going to tone down my previous post. It sounds quite fun.. not the usual crap funfair.
  12. I think this knife crime epidemic is horrific. However, those advocating fleeing to the Shires beware. This sort of thing does happen everywhere (although I'm already worried about where my little boy will be going to school if I don't get rich soon).
  13. My heart sank seeing all that crap being set up. I hate funfairs after being attacked by carnival people back in '82.
  14. "It helps to foster a sense of community if people can go watch big sporting events together." I was hoping this would be the case with the CPT but it was dead for the FA Cup and for the Euro games I saw there. Before the Grove in Camberwell was ruined the public bar was brilliant for sport. Nothing has come close for atmosphere since.
  15. I thought Winehouse was good. No problem with Jay-Z either.
  16. I quite like the 'tea room' wallpaper but maybe some flock would have been more appropriate. BBQ sounds like a plan.
  17. That's all we need. More scribbling.
  18. I was in the CPT on Sunday for the Spain game. Carlsberg was ?3 a pint.

This sounds about right to me. Not always a bad thing, I love the Raconteurs and the Kings of Leon.
  20. I agree that tennis is rubbish in every way. However, I don't think this: "A chipper Brit wins by firing a shedload of boring aces" has ever happened.

  22. Great pic.. Ahh life without cars.
  23. That would be excellent. There's definitely a gap in the market.

    Euro 2008

Fingers crossed. I have a bottle of Rioja at the ready.

    Euro 2008

It must be even more miserable being a Dutch fan than being and England fan. Being one of the favourites for every tournament and cocking it up every time. It would be nice if Spain beat Italy.
