  1. Well that's odd (but bloomin good!)...it wouldn't allow me to vote twice. Am going to try again now lol...
  2. Nailbiting...I've checked the forum more today than I have in the past 12 months!!!
  3. Nice one BR. (tu)
  4. How on earth did the H.Swifts manage to catch up so quickly?? BOOOOOOOOO... Gonna do a sneaky and change the heading just for today...
  5. Just tried to sneak in another vote...but the poll has brains...message came up saying " Thank you, we have already counted your vote". I feel "told off"! :-$
  6. Stuff in a couple of old compost bags or bin liners and use as "duvet" for your compost heap. Waste will heat up and therefore rot more quickly. :))
  7. Thanks Fafanoo...just voted...literally took 3 seconds...and DH are out in front at 52%!!!
  8. Thank you BR. I feel reassured.
  9. Still lots of them darting in and out of hedges along St. Francis Road.
  10. I'm sure there was a little beer stand for one of the Palace games a couple of seasons' ago - no? Or was it last season? Actually, I can't really remember when it was...but I do vaguely recall a separate beer stall for a "big" game...in the corner where the car park wall adjoins the away terraces...did I imagine that? :-S
  11. Wow! That's some reduction in price. Go for it, and FYI that one is no. 13 in the tables. Right...I'm orff to cook supper! Merry Christmas Doc.
  12. I'd see a Doc about those missing pages! I don't know whether you are being your usual piss-taking self or whether you are being serious when you say: "What about 50" and under ?500?", but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt. OK... "Which" class a 50" as "large" and they publish 13 "best buys" for large tvs (large being between 46 and 55") - none of which costs under ?500. The cheapest are the Samsung UE48H5500 and the LG47LB585V both @ ?529. If you are prepared to be a little less tight-fisted...ahem...sorry...I meant...if you would like to extend your budget, then please let me know and I may (if I feel inclined) list some more for you. They go up to ?1,799. :)) ETA: at no. 3 of the Tables is a Samsung UE48H6500. Not only is it a high scoring "best buy", but it is also a "best value" @ ?610 with "some of the best features, all catch-up TV apps, superb sound and picture".
  13. I know he has left...but for all DH supporters who miss him at Champion Hill, I came across this uber-mini biography. Enjoy: http://erhunoztumer.com/
  14. Page 76 of the December 2014 WHICH Magazine has a Buyer's Guide which includes TVs. You should be able to access it at your local library. If not, come back with more info. (e.g. size, cost etc) and I'll type you out a little list of what they recommend. :))
  15. Yes...a little dance around the front room coffee table involving air-punches. Did you not do the same, Doc? I'll bet you Red Devil did. (tu)
  16. Erm...helloooooooooooooooooo >:D
  17. (tu)
  18. ABSOLUTELY! Do go on the website and TELL them. :)) Keep them on their toes!

They had to go. > I'll never own another pair :( Quidsey! You could have joined the mixed footie group on Peckham Rye on a Sat. morning - even a decrepit old codger like YOU can join. :))
  20. Southwark Council want to know what we (the public) would like them to do to make cycling better in Southwark. They are asking for comments from both cyclists and non-cyclists. If you would like to have your say, please go to www.southwark.gov.uk/cyclingstrategy. Apparently you can enter a ?100 draw for your trouble.

A Bus Inspector buddy told me that should for any reason a passenger's journey be terminated early through no fault of his/her own, the driver MUST issue a "transfer ticket". However, he works for a different bus company.
  24. This comment made me laugh and reminded me so much of the EDF: "Some lazily call some of our loyal fans 'hipsters'; 'students' & 'commies'.." (tee hee). http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet/news/well-if-the-cap-fits-1287289.html
  25. Blimey...didn't expect this. All I know is that the guy who works on the turnstiles has done so for yonks and does so (I believe) voluntarily because he is passionate about the Club. Seems unlikely to me that, in such a situation, anyone would behave in a fraudulent manner. I'm not proving anything of course, but nevertheless... Anyhoooo, good start to the season Hamlet! :)-D BTW, El Pibe, me too re. ticket fluff from washing machine...your post made me smile.
