Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ETA: I don't normally venture into the Drawing > Room - am I allowed to have smileys?! You are permitted to use smileys. However, you may wish to know that the Drawing Room Moderator will not be amused if you quote "Homer Simpson", sing or flirt. Standards must be maintained. :)) Edited to say: I don't mind being "recycled" once I've snuffed it!

What in the name of Jesus, Mary and Joseph was the ref. doing today at the Eastbourne match? Anyone else attend? Shocking refereeing (in my not so humble opinion). He appeared to lose control of the game on several occasions. As for that penalty, the lack of yellow cards and those fights...TERRIBLE! Still, we won. :) -------------- GET IN THERE HAMLET!

I love Oztumer too. He is quite incredible and an absolute joy to watch. So much skill there...I'm betting it won't be long before someone poaches him. Talentspotters were at the previous game and were eyeing him very closely...old fashioned pens and notebooks and all. The DH reserves lost tonight. :( ------------ GET IN THERE HAMLET!

I have never watched X Factor. It's true. Not even a snippet on someone else's telly.

Are you SERIOUS FatherJack? That is AWESOME. Thank you SO much. He was such a lovely man; very conscientious and walked with me quite a while until I recognised my surroundings (which turned out to be very close to home). He clearly loves his job. I am sure my "detour" made him late too...he was on his way to check into a Station. Bless him. I really hope his superiors appreciate him. He stands out. @ Sue: thank you! (Glad to see your "smileys" are back...your posts weren't the same without them :)) !) @ Huguenot: if it had been you that had appeared, I'd have thrown a manky pork pie at you and run in the opposite direction! AHAHAHAHHAAAAAA... @ Vik: United and Christmas hats have similarities, I grant you, but they are definitely NOT the same. Tutt Tutt!

I am actually looking for 2 tickets...have been waiting 40 years+ for this so would like decent seats too...(birthday treat from hubby for next year :) ). Thanks for your input though, red devil...you've provided some ideas I hadn't thought about. As for touts...no offence...but I just don't trust them...shifty...the lotta them lol... Annasfield Wrote: --------------------------------------------------------- > Don't pay a tout...It's not difficult to find tickets, > all you had to do was look on the website. The West Ham game > is on general sale... I did look at that site, Annasfield, but I need a weekend match (WH is on a Weds.). Still, I appreciate your input (especially as you don't post as much as you used to). Thanks to anyone else I have missed and to those who emailed me privately. It doesn't seem such a minefield now, and I feel sure I shall have something in the next few days. Can't wait!

Thanks Maxxi. I did join as a member last season, but there was little available and when I did find something I realised that I could only buy the one ticket (booooo) - something I hadn't realised till the last second, so I haven't renewed my membership this year. However, thanks for your input; am especially grateful for the maths and will look into your tips.

Sure, these things aren't cheap...it's the same with tickets for the threatre, the ballet, the opera etc. I am happy to pay (or at least hubby is! :)) ) the going rate as this is going to be a massive treat for me. However, I do resent the payment of an extra - say minimum ?25 - on top of the face value of each ticket. Or is ?25 an acceptable extra to pay for PL games these days? I honestly don't know. I really would appreciate some constructive advice.

Not necessarily...have been to lots of PL matches and not been ripped off. Anyway...any recommendations?

I have posted a request in the "Wanted Section" but thought I would ask here too (do forgive me Admin). From where may I buy tickets for a match at Old Trafford which is both reputable and will not leave me feeling ripped off? I have been wanting to go to OT for over 40 years, and it looks as though this season is going to be it - so seats need to be semi-decent too! :)) Thanks in advance.

Buggars! Can't argue with that... CLEVER (med)DIC :))

Any chance they will stock wool?

Blue = cold? Red = hot? Don't like to admit it, but I prefer the blue...looks...erm...cooler?
