Observing cyclists flout the law is not only irritating to drivers, but to law-abiding cyclists too; mainly because those who automatically abide by the law tend to get tarred with the same brush as those who disregard it.
  9. Oh, forgot to say, the Junior absolutely lurrrves treacle... *giggles*

  11. No, I'm not...at all. Sorry! I simply happened to be walking past when planting was in its initial stages. I got chatting to the lovely lady on her hands and knees and offered her some seeds. She was doing such a fantastic job - on what is, after all, our doorstep - and I had some seeds to spare...that's all. She doesn't even live in the immediate area and she pays for the plants herself! I think she is awe-inspiring. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but she planted up a nearby area with bulbs in the Spring - providing an equally stunning display for us all to enjoy during that cold and grim period. Funnily enough, I first met her at that time: I thought she had fallen ill (it was a really cold day and she was squatting down with her hands on the bare ground). Fortunately she was merely checking on her daffodils!
  12. The pumpkin plants are doing alright though (my seeds!). hpsaucey, a photo won't do it justice...just come on down...it's wedged between DHFC and DKH Sainsburys.
  13. Twas nice to see/hear you and you-know-who. I made the journey especially you know - wasn't merely passing! You both looked focused, professional and sounded well cool. In fact, I pointed you out to my buddies and name-dropped the pair of you! Actually, come to think of it, you-know-who wasn't that professional: she waved back (tutt tutt)! I loved that!
  14. Match is ON. It's just started. I'm orrrrfff.......

  17. I'm going to the CP match too. That's a threesome ;-). Anyway, whilst here, the first home match of the season is now set for tomorrow (16th July). This is a pre-season friendly against Erith Town (apparently Erith Town's pitch needs re-seeding - or something). KO at 3pm. However, I understand, that the game is "weather-permitting". If it absolutely buckets it down, then play will probably not take place. And, I have to say, having seen the pitch today, I can't say I blame them: the pitch looked absolutely beautiful. Emerald green and immaculate.
  18. maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Have > you no shame Doc? I am pretty sure that is a rhetorical question, maxxi. However, just to be absolutely clear: he has none...not one jot of shame. Completely and utterly brazen and unblushing is that Mr. Medic.

I wish to lodge an objection in respect of this particular score. Lady Katharina van de Wotsit indeed!

  23. I am assuming she is still alive, Mr. Medic. Wikipedia mentions her in the present, though I notice that their page was last updated on 10 July 2011 at 20:23. Hmmmm, that doesn't really help - does it?
