Either you are well or you are sick. If you are well, there is nothing to worry about, But if you are sick, there are only two things to worry about? Either you will get well or you will die. If you get well, there is nothing to worry about, But if you die, there are only two things to worry about? Either you will go to heaven or hell. If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about. And if you go to hell, you?ll be so busy shaking hands with all your friends You won?t have time to worry!
  3. He's recharging his batteries...runs on Duracell (and noodles)...gawd help you all when he awakes. *runs far, far away*

  5. Deleted because was being overly sensitive. *takes Nurofen*
  6. haven't a clue about cricket, but I do love this tune: . Ahhhhhhh, takes me back...Bim!
  7. Nice opening post Mr. Medic. Very nice indeed. What touched me was that, she appeared (to me anyway) pleased to be amongst the people of Ireland - as though glad of the opportunity to finally bury a rusty old hatchet. It looked to me as though this wasn't just another of her royal engagments, but that she actually wanted to be there. She looked enormously sincere and happy, and as a result so did the majority of the locals. A beautiful sight to behold if ever I saw one.
  8. *calls out* INTEXATTTHE MOMENT...YOO HOO...any more info. on the reflective spoke thingy things from Lidls?

Oh and...hello! (well done BTW) *chuckles*
  10. What, you mean like City winning anything of any worth? (well and truly above the waist - unless, of course, you are a City fan)
  11. Me too actually. As I said earlier, it really doesn't take that much effort to housekeep mailboxes. Certainly, the task is not half as daunting as running a forum!
  12. Skiing sunglasses? I never thought of that one. But, given that Decathlon is one of my favourite stores, I could do much worse than take a look. Thanks for the tip Applespider. Vis a vis the wearing of a mask versus the condition of your lungs, I think that, if you saw the colour of my filters prior to changing, that might be sufficient to convince you to invest in one. Well, that and your inevitable diet of insects! Eeewwwwwwww...
  13. Oh Christ yes - I'd forgotten about the bloomin greenfly LOL!
  14. Yes, particles in the eyes whilst cycling are a real nuisance - especially when they force you to stop because your vision has suddenly become virtually non-existent in one eye. I too have tried wearing sun glasses, but they often steam up. How do you stop that happening?
  15. I don't generally suffer with asthma either B_S: only when cycling in cities without a mask or when surrounded by smokers. The mask, as yukky as it is, completely eliminates the asthma associated with cycling. Haven't tried wearing it amongst smokers though!;-)
  16. To be honest, I'd rather ride without it. But then, I'd prefer not to bother with a helmet, high viz clothing, bike clips etc. It is not so much restrictive, but it does get hot, damp and smelly! It's actually worse in the winter (condensation?), especially as runny noses are more prevalent at that time of year! The trick is to wash the filter regularly (I do mine weekly) and to replace it every so often. Sounds yukky doesn't it? It can be, but I think that's preferable to being ill with asthma. Bet you are glad you asked!?:)) I should say, I only use the mask when riding in cities. When cycling in the countryside or by the sea, I don't bother. Fortunately, for me, the need isn't there on those occasions.
  17. Took yer bleedin time! *rushes to forward on 121 PMs to her highly socially active Ladyship*
  18. Personally, I think it's wonderful that Admin. didn't temporarily close the forum whilst doing the work (thus saving me the humiliation of a stint into rehab). They just got on with it.
  19. Holy Mary Mother of God...this is a free resource. It doesn't take long to "housekeep" the mailboxes. I do mine every time I send/receive PMs (i.e. usually daily). Of course, in an ideal world it would be marvellous to have a speedier forum complete with gargantuan storage for PMs so that we would never have to worry our little heads about doing the odd bit of clearing every so often. But, life isn't perfect. Admin. has mentioned (on another thread) that upgrades are unaffordable at the moment. Moos has also mentioned donations. 1 + 1 = ?
  20. Yes, I saw the thread shortly after having started this one. But thanks all the same ianr. Now where IS Lady Kat?
  21. @ Ms B: Re. wheezing. I used to wheeze/cough horribly when undertaking my daily commute to Pimlico - especially in the summer. Doctor said it was asthma. Then I bought a cyclist's mask/filter. No more wheezing/coughing.
  22. How weird, I've had to alert two forum buddies that their inboxes were full today. I'd assumed that they were just very popular social butterflies!
  23. I have been informed (quite possibly unreliably) that your mail box is full, dear Lady! And to bring this to your immediate attention.
  24. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > On a different note - Lidls have the reflective > spoke thingys back in from Thursday 19 May . > ?3.99 for 36 . ooooooh how exciting! Do you know whether this includes the Peckham, Brixton and Sydenham branches? Only, last time, it didn't:(.
  25. DHFC's report on that final play-off: here. Despite not quite making it to the Premier Division, I still think DH played really well.
