Southampton know that Liverpool will always pay over the odds for their players. So Liverpool will start in a bad negotiating position every time they want one of their players. I think it's a good signing though.

Agree with all that. And I am certain the EU will stick to it's guns!

But how many leavers, in the face of reality, are asking for a rerun? 16-18 year olds have never voted in a UK vote, only in Scotland. You accepted the question when you ticked your box thinking you'd win. I'm a strong remainer, but this is all clutching at straws. You are right that this is not a legally binding referendum, and I hope the government choose to never pull the trigger. But calls for a second referendum are no better than "best 2 out of 3" from a losing side.

Ko-Ko's little list song would be quite apt for the shadow cabinet.

Haha, it would be a cracker wouldn't it.

That last three words may end up being more true than you thought. But despite having voted remain, I too am uncomfortable with this attempt to go back on a democratic vote (although if a second referendum happened - which it won't - I'd still happily vote remain and hope for a different result).. What is an amusing irony is that this petition was apparently started by a hard right leaver, in preparation for a remain victory. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/william-oliver-healey-referendum-petition_uk_576f8b28e4b0232d331e1b39 -
At least we can take some solace in Mail and Sun readers finally realizing they've been sold a massive load of shite by their chosen "news"papers. http://indy100.independent.co.uk/article/the-mail-has-explained-what-brexit-means-and-its-readers-seem-shocked--Z1772TI4aNW http://indy100.independent.co.uk/article/the-sun-has-also-got-around-to-telling-its-readers-what-brexit-will-mean-and-they-are-not-happy--WySvafrAVZ

One of the most depressing things about this is that EVERYONE is going to end up disappointed. Those that voted remain are already gutted and trying to think of ways they can reverse democracy, and those that voted leave are going to end up with something VERY different to what they dreamt of. A few rich people will remain rich, the rest of us a screwed.

If it's democratically unacceptable for Scotland who voted in to be dragged out, then it's democratically unacceptable for any other place in the UK (because that's what Scotland voted to be last year) to be dragged out.

I think *bob* summed things up pretty well.

I have the Frozen Karaoke App on my ipad, perhaps we should all meet down the pub before the match and have a sing song.

I was totally entertained last night. Once I switched to Game of Thrones at half time. Don't get me wrong, England bossed the first half completely, and looked pretty good. But I just couldn't stand watching more of it without a goal (and I figured if I turned over they'd score immediately. Like going for a piss in the pub during a match). Bertrand is a red card waiting to happen. That elbow to the face early on was very unsafe play, and he was lucky not to get booked for it.

Can you all promise that on Friday this all stops whatever happens?

To be fair to Cameron (and you won't hear me say that often), he had a much harder time of it from the audience than Michael Gove got. Even remainers were taking shots at hos government's austerity policies, so he had it from all sides, and looked more ruffled than I've possibly ever seen him. And again I feel so pissed off with top Labour figures. Where the fuck have they been?

I (of course) forgot to do any predictions. I've now predicted the rest of the group stages, so I thoroghly expect to still have 0 points by the knock out stages.

I definitely think last weekend was mainly the fault of the hardcore Russian guys, but not on this occasion. However, I totally agree that the police are storming in over nothing and creating a lot of the problem.
-
Thing on the intranet saying we can take the time as flexi and watch on TV's in the building. Better than nothing, but there will be a distinct lack of beer unfortunately.
-
I'm well gutted, got my times wrong and didn't realise the match was the early one. Was really looking forward to settling in for that this evening. Zero chance of avoiding the score.
-
Bloody hell, Liverpool have Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester and Chelsea in their first 5 games. Then again knowing Liverpool they'll probably win all of those and lose to Burnley.
-
And our very own Annasfield has described being over there for a Liverpool match and a bunch of them standing outside a bar only for 30 odd Russians to charge at them completely unprovoked. The world cup is going to be brutal, I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
