Do these unfortunate people not have any friends with a garden?

Why were you alarmed? It was a friendly, with 6 substituations allowed, and the manager's first chance to have a look at the players as the boss.

England to win, Carroll to win the Golden Boot... :)-D You heard it here first. :-S
  4. Cheers, have sent you a PM. I emailed Emma, but no reply, which is not like her.
  5. Dirty South, good call. Had forgotten about them. Tried emailling The Hob, but think I'll just pop in there and have a chat. Have known the owner since I were a nipper, but don't think he's in there that often these days.
  6. I don't want to sound like a kill joy, I love a BBQ, I just don't really think the park is the place for it.
  7. I know South London has always been rubbish compared to North for live music, but can anyone recommend any pubs / bars / venues where they have seen new original bands playing? The Amersham Arms in New Cross was always a good one, but no idea if it still has live music, so if anyone has been there in the last year or so, that would be useful info. Basically, in our new(ish) band, 3 out of 4 of us are SE London based, and it can be difficult to drag your mates over to North London to see you (especially when your mates are lazy swines like mine), so would really like to do something this side of the river.
  8. I actually think it could be dangerous, and they will burn patches of grass unless people have taken bricks along with them. Surely one of them had access to a fucking garden.
  9. You may be right UDT, but that's not really the point.
  10. Bloody Hell, Dave Whelan is loving a bit of press time at the moment. If I was either Martinez or Liverpool FC, I'd want him to just shut the fuck up!

All 11 players hit a ball each, at the same time, from the half way line, and see how many they get in. Team with most balls in the goal wins. Quick and fun :-S

What else are you gonna do with it?
  13. Train to St Ives will cost you a bit!
  14. Not centre parcs. A friend went for a romantic weekend there a while back, I'll ask him about it.
  15. Excuse the capitals, wasn't looking at the screen, and can't be bothered retyping.

    UFC 146!

I have tried watching UFC a few tines, wanting to like it, but at the end of the day, it's just not a particularly exciting spectator sport. Far too much mat grappling, and whilst I respect what they are able to do, I just find it boring to watch.
  20. I think that sounds very interesting, depending on what it would cost.
  21. Surely the fight everyone wants to see is Derrick & Dave? No? In all seriousness, I know it's wrong, but I am still interested to watch that fight.
  22. I think it's 9 in 9 now.
  23. Sooo, Torres... What a knob. Has not gone down well with the Chelsea supporters who, to be fair to them, stuck by him through a massive dry spell. Will be interesting to see whether he's still there next season. I always thought he seemed pretty decent, even when he walked away from Liverpool, but he has come over as q right brat.
  24. Walk down LL and look above some of the shops. LL is all an eyesore, the buildings were never pretty.
