  1. They didn't, they just said it wasn't open to him.
  2. It's true. My 3 year old daughter's preschool is having a "pirates & princesses" party. We will be sending her as a pirate!
  3. If you've got time to post on here, you're obviously not busy enough. Back to the kitchen with you all!
  4. BBC website just have him denying it. Where is the story you're all reading?
  5. Strafer, he is agency, and yeah, the agency may well expect a "finders fee" if he joins the organisation within 6 months. That is certainly my experience. Ms B, I suspect you may be right about the option of redeloyment for those losing their jobs. So perhaps we just need to hope that no one wants this post (unlikely). It's such a shame, because he was brought in, and given a big mess to sort out, which he has done, and without him holding all the threads together, a whole project would have fallen apart by now. Instead, we'll probably end up with some union member who will claim that everything is "not in my job spec", and basically be fecking useless!
  6. The place I am currently working is going through a big restructure, some people are losing their jobs, or being regraded. Some are going through redeployment. My colleague / friend is a temp, who has been in post for 15 months. I know laws have recently changed, and temps now get access to the same employment rights as permanent workers, when it comes to things like sickness. My question is this... If a new post is being advertised internally, and put forward for redeloyment, should he have the right to apply? HR here are saying no, whilst his agency are saying yes. I want him in this post, because we get on, and the alternative might be working with a total pain in the arse. Can anyone shed any light on exactly what his rights are now?
  7. An arse who, whilst a good player, believes he is a top top player. He is not.

    Internet TVs?

Damn it, this thread has really made me want a new telly. Shame I'm broke.
  9. That cover photo was horrible though. Didn't look like a loving mother / child relationship, but rather something intended to shock, and sexualising a 3 year old boy.
  10. Excellent little story.
  11. I think most of us are probably a bit guilty of these things. What worries me more though, is how attracted my older daughter (3), and even her little sister (9m) are to my phone. At first I thought it was great having preschool apps, that I thought were good for her learning, but she has become obsessed. I see other kids out and about using parent's phones / tablets. They are a good distraction when necessary, but in our house, it is in danger of being an "issue".
  12. If the whole forum was only for people with SE22 post codes, then most of the regular posters would have to leave. I do agree though that the For Sale thing can be an issue. I agreed to buy something a while back, only to find I had to go to Clapham for it, which was a bit of a pain in the arse.
  13. Kenny Dalglish has come in for a lot of criticism this season, a lot of which has been deserved. However, credit where it's due, he didn't try to moan about the goal that wasn't and held his hands up.
  14. The lyrics to that song are actually really quite depressing aren't they.
  15. Downing is shit, and I don't know why Liverpool spent the money on him. Gerrard was very quiet too, which made a big difference.
  16. I missed the first 10 minutes, so missed the National Anthem. Booing it does seem rather odd, but there you go. For q cup final, it was a pretty decent match. Obviously gutted about the result, and think Quids may be right about Carroll's chance to follow up and finish that goal off. Did think he did well once he came on though, and wish he'd started. Chelsea did well at keeping Suarez very quiet.

Don't have volume high if you're at work! Edit because I linked the wrong video.
  18. Not that I'm trying to point the finger or anything.
  19. Mentioned Chasing Rainbows on your other thread, but may have been more appropriate here.
  20. Don't know why, but having not heard it for years, Chasing Rainbows by Shed 7 popped in to my head yesterday. Great 90s tune!

I agree that no return to Ken is good, but the alternitive is hardly cause for celebration! Huge own goal for Labour, letting Ken run again.
  22. I thought that blog was pretty funny.
  23. Pretty damned good goal! Spurs look favourites for 4th again, what with Necastle having to play Man City & Everton. Spurs have Villa & Fulham, so you'd have to make them favourites.
